It was the usual volleyball practice. Another hazy afternoon, another school day, another one of those ordinary days. Yet Tanaka forgot how to speak when you entered the room. At first, he peeked at you with little to no interest. But then something strange occurred to him, and it wasn't the same feeling he had with his previous attraction towards his manager, Shimizu.
Your appearance was rather messy, a few strands of hair sticking out of place and your uniform was creased and folded with lines that you forgot to iron. But you stood there beneath the dim lights, timidly smiling in a way that could weaken Tanaka to his knees. Your eyes however, god was he so in love with those eyes.
Your eyes was unlike others, a universe of stars that he could see behind your iris. If he could describe it further, your orbs were like a morning walk into a forest, bathing in the rain of honey. Heterochromia; they were green and blue.
"What's your name?"
Tanaka asked; his face as blank as your untouched canvases from the art room. His sudden appearance caused your roses to crawl beneath your cheeks, you were beginning to form a fever. If fairies were real then surely by now, you were struck by stardust in your bloodstream. You were in fact, incredibly out of breath from his sight.
"[Y/N]."
"[Y/N]...", he murmurs.
Like he was tasting your name from the tip of his tongue. Perhaps even more, he was savouring the sweet flavour of your name. The way his eyes grew intense lit a flame within you, he looked at you as if you were an art gallery. An art in which Tanaka became in love with the colour of green and blue; the thought of your colours tattooed into his veins.
"Well then [Y/N], you have really, really pretty eyes."
