chapter 40

NORMAL POV

...

"Jimin! Stop where you are!" you yelled at him.

"B-baby stop! D-don't. Don't do it." Jimin begged on his knees, seeing his wife standing at the edge of the cliff with tears on her cheek.

Jimin stood up, trying so hard to ignore the pain lingering on his body causes by a car hitting him while trying to run and stop you.

He tried to took a step toward you but only to find you moving backward with your head shaking multiple times indicating for him to stop moving.

"P-please Jimin. Stop." you whispered enough for him to hear.

"Baby, P-please don't fall from the clif-"

"Or what Jimin? You've hurt me many times and because of you, my babies died! How am I suppose to live with a cheater and a killer like you?! You've giving me pain! I thought giving you another chance was the right choice but I-I was wrong. Please just let me go already. I-i can't live like this Jimin. I had enough with you." you cried, clutching your hand to your chest of the pain you felt of Jimin gave you.

"Jimin.." you smiled warmly with a mixture of pain with it and look at him with no hope.

"I hope you live happily without me living in this world.."

"Goodbye Jimin." you whispered before closing your eyes and lean backwards, letting your fragile body falls off the cliff.

"ARA, NO!!!"

Jimin sat up on the bed with his heart racing faster. Jimin look around and sighs in relieve as he realise it was only a dream. Jimin covered his face with his palm and found out he was crying. The nightmare brings fear into him, he feared of losing you and his twins. Even though it's a only a dream. It feels real to him.

Jimin wipes his tears off and turn to his side just to check on the clock standing on the table lamp. He sighs again. It's only 2 a.m and he's already having a nightmare.

Jimin plopped his body on the bed. If he gone back sleeping. It wouldn't be no use. The nightmare would come back whenever he closed his eyes and he didn't want that. He had enough to have one nightmare. Jimin, then decides to go check up on you and the babies.

He came to your bedroom where you and the twins are and only to find you already sleeping peacefully on top of the mattress with his twins sleeping right beside you.

Jimin sat on the study chair and stares at you. He remembered the promise he made in the past but he broke it. He felt worthless, useless, hopeless husband at the same time. Thinking about the past only giving him regrets. If only he could rewind the time. If only....

His thoughts shattered as Hyunsoo started to cry. He rushed to him and took Hyunsoo on his arm, whispering a song while rocking him back to sleep and trying so hard not to wake you up.

Jimin slowly laid Hyunsoo back onto the mattress where he slept as he saw his son was fast asleep on his arm and give a peck on a forehead of his son then another peck to his daughter.

He, then made a way to you and sat on the bedside. He smiled bitterly while thinking that he totally got no chance on making you back to him. He sees hatred when you both made an eye contact the other day and it hurts him a lot. He regrets everything.

Jimin felt secure watching you sleeping in front of him after the nightmare he had earlier. He caressed your cheek then tuck some stranded of your hair to the back of your ear. He leans forward and gave you a quick peck on your forehead, cheek and lastly on your lips where up to the point, he was in tears. He missed you.

He slowly make a way out from your room and take a last look to his twins and then averted his eyes on you before closing your door shuts and went back into the guestroom again.

~THE NEXT DAY

You woke up, at the sight of your room filled with the brightness of the sun and the only thing you look at first is the baby on the side bed is yours but didn't find any figure of your twins. Only one person popped out from your mind

mom must have the babies.

You crawled out from the bed and went out form your kitchen, going to the kitchen. You expected your father, brother and jimin to be there eating breakfast but none of the guys were there when you step into the kitchen area. You could only find your mother feeding the babies with bottle milk.

"Morning honey.." she greeted.

"Morning mom." you smiled as you sit down on a chair, looking at her feeding your babies.

"Want me to help you handling the babies?" you ask.

"Don't worry honey, I'm fine. I'll take care of them and you just eat your breakfast. You must be tired from taking care of them." she said.

yes, yes.. I'm tired mom..

You eat your pancakes made by your mother and ask her where the guys are and she replied that they gone to the company, doing some business for getting Jimin to his position on taking over his father's company.

You nod nonchalantly. Your mother who knows nothing about what really happened on your relationship with Jimin decided to tease you.

"Miss him already honey?" she smirks while still feeding them.

"Don't worry honey, Jimin will come back later.." she told.

You smiled bitterly at your mother's word.

If only she knew everything what happened between us..
