The trap was set, Christine was all dressed for a rehearsal, the conductor and his orchestra were waiting for their que, Madame Giry, Meg and the managers where on one side of the stage, and me, the Doctor and Jack were on the other, the stage hands were already in place, we were all ready for him, the conductor gave his cue and Christine began to sing, as she continued, the room began to fill with an unearthly sound, her voice was like pure crystals slicing through the air, it was almost relaxing, I nearly forgot about the plan, that was until I sensed movement behind me, Jack had wondered off, the Doctor hadn’t noticed this, he was far too focused on her, typical man. I snuck of round the back to see what Jack was doing, it was dimly lit, but I could still see a little, I could barely hear Christine back here, that wasn’t such a good thing, especially if anything bad happened, I stopped for a moment as I hear creaking nearby, I halted,
'Jack? ' nothing, I took a few more steps forward, the creaking got louder, I held my breath, in front of me was a blind corner, the creaking was close, perhaps someone was there, and I was ready for them, I leaned against the wall and shuffled forward, and then without thinking I quickly ran round the corner with my fists up,
'Come at me you mug! ' Thank god no one was there, that was every shade of stupidity and embarrassment, and there was no one there,
'smooth, real smooth' I nearly screamed when I felt a hand upon my shoulder, I spun ran ready to smack someone clean in the face, but I miss judged the height, and the person, cause of his height, I ended up smacking him hard in the chest, I nearly hit him again when I realised it was Jack, he held his chest mockingly,
'Ouch, really, and there's a captain in there somewhere, Captain Jack' Captain Jock maybe,
'Anyway, what are you doing back here? , it's not safe you being on your own'
'Well I'm not on my own am I, you’re here, see safety first' he gave me a funny look, I smiled back, I can take care of myself, even more with him about,
'Tell you what, you beat him up, and ill cry out for help, see all planed out, no problem' he thought about it for a moment, then he pulled something out of his pocket, it was a small key, I held out my hand and he placed it there firmly,
'What's this? '
'It’s a key' I rolled my eyes at him, he thought it was funny,
'Thanks Captain obvious, but why are you giving me this'
'It’s a way for us to track you if you go wondering off, just in case you get adventurous, or run off' well that’s encouraging, I’d rather be safe with these two knuckle heads, I popped the key down my bra, gaining me a surprised look, like that’s going to fall out,
'What, it's safe there'
'ha-ha, okay' he wondered off whilst I took another look at the key, as I held it in my hand, it actually began to glow dimly, it was odd but strangely enchanting, I quickly popped the key back safely in my bra and wondered off towards were Jack went. After a while I was lost again, not surprising, this place was like a maze, I was thinking about heading back when I managed to trip over on something, I quickly managed to recover before I completely fell over, I felt sick instantly when I saw what tripped me up, the noose was pulled tightly against his neck, his limp body sat up against a wall, I quickly rushed to his side hoping he was okay, but he wasn’t breathing, I grabbed his coat and shook him hard, but nothing, he was dead, I had to find the Doctor, surely he could help him, I started to run when I heard a voice, up above the rafters,
'My sweet dove, fly to me' it was him, the Phantom, I looked up but I couldn’t see him, I started to run again, I shouted hoping anyone would hear me,
'Doctor!! , anyone, help!! ' but no one replied, I kept running until I stopped in front of my bag, sticking out of it was a black rose, the room started to spin, my chest grew tight, my head grew fuzzy, I went to grab my bag, but I was suddenly pulled back against a hard chest, a long arm wrapped around my chest holding me tightly, I screamed as loud as I could before a white cloth covered my face, I fought to claw the hand away from my face, I couldn’t see anything so I struggled with all my strength against him as he started to drag me away, my screams turned into muffled cries,
'Shh my dove, just breath, breathe deeply, sleep' the sweet fumes were suffocating, my body relaxed unwillingly, darkness consumed me, I heard no one but his breath against my skin, I was at the mercy of the Phantom of the opera.
