Amanda
"Amanda!" I heard someone shout my name. I stepped into the bright sunlight outside the school to find Riley, grinning with her blue hair in a ponytail, waving at me.
"Oh my god, Riley!" I exclaimed and ran over to her, hugging her, "That must have been a brutal sickness."
"Just a massive cold," she replied pulling away from me and smiling again.
"Oh wow!" I stated, "No more braces?"
"I got them removed a few days ago," she said, "I can finally eat normally again." I laughed.
"It's so weird seeing you without braces," I said, "And-" I stopped in the middle of my sentence and grabbed her ponytail in my hand.
"You cut your hair?" She was just grinning at me. "Where is Riley?"
"Ugh, I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to cut my hair," she complained.
"Don't worry, it looks great!" I said truthfully, "Let's go to Starbucks before gymnastics, we just need to wait for Hai-" I was cut mid-sentence by a rainbow-haired girl crashing into Riley.
"Hi, Hailey!" Riley said in response to Hailey's tackle.
"Riley!" Hailey exclaimed, "Oh my god! You cut your hair and you don't have braces!" After a while, Hailey reluctantly let go of Riley and agreed to go to Starbucks with us.
"I'll drive!" Hailey said.
"No way!" I replied, "I'm driving, you'll just get us all killed."
"Ugh, fine."
"Let me just tell Tyler before he comes for no reason to school," I said taking out my phone and typing a quick and short text to Tyler.
"Tyler's here?" Riley asked, "You have a lot to tell me, Amanda."
"Oh yes she does," Hailey added and winked at Riley.
"Don't," I said, "Whenever you wink, there is trouble on the way."
"Trouble?" she asked innocently and I looked at her with a raised eyebrow, "Okay, fine, you were right, trouble's on the way." Before I could ask what the hell she was talking about, I felt a tap on my shoulder, the same annoying tap that wouldn't leave me alone when I was trying to draw in History. I turned around, already irritated, and faced Noah. So that was what Hailey had referred to 'trouble' as.
"What?" I snapped.
"No 'Hi, Brown, nice to see you, can you give me a ride on your motorcycle?'?" Noah asked, "Because I usually save your ass from staying here."
"Two times," I stated, "I asked for a ride two times, that's not usually. And since you're clearly blind and can't see them, I'm getting a ride with Hailey, you know her, don't you? The rainbow-haired girl standing behind me?"
"Maybe you should turn around," he smirked. I looked at him in confusion, and before I could see what he was doing, he grabbed my arms and spun me around. Where Riley and Hailey had been standing moments ago, was an empty space. I saw them inside Hailey's car, she was grinning and had her both thumbs up, Riley was just laughing in the backseat.
"Ugh, Hailey," I muttered under my breath and turned around again, "Anyway, what's up?"
"Just came to ask you if you really needed a ride." He stuffed his hands into his pockets and shrugged.
"Aw, thanks for offering, but no thanks," I said, "I appreciate it." I patted his head rising myself with my tiptoes, which earned me a chuckle from him.
