My landing was not as soft as I would have liked it to be. In fact, I do not recommend landing on a pile of bones ever, like really, they hurt a lot. Being landed on by two brothers already getting bigger than me didn't help either.

After our pile had disassembled itself we all looked around. The place was dark and had pillars everywhere holding the castle up above. There were bones everywhere and a giant discolored snake, or snake skin, curling itself around the pillars. Water was dripping from somewhere, making an ominous sound.

"Homey" Fred commented.

I snorted and started walking through the pillars deeper into the room. The snake was indeed just a skin, thank heavens. Remembering what Myrtle had said about the eyes killing her I assumed that seeing its eyes was deadly.

The three of us wandered deeper until we reached a fallen down pillar blocking the only path. There was a small opening towards the top. I turned to my brothers.

"I'll go ahead, I can fit through that hole. You guys clear a path for me and Ron to get back through when I find him."

The boys did not look happy. There was no way that they would fit through the hole without some sort of shrinking potion though, and we were clean out of those.

With the boys' help I tumbled through the hole in the top of the rock pile. "Haylie, are you ok?" one of the boys called.

"Yeah, Yeah I'm ok. I'll be back as soon as I can!" I hollered back then took off at a jog through the chamber.

After a few minutes I reached another door like structure. It had snakes all around it latched onto the wall so that the door remained shut.

"Well, Here goes nothing I suppose. Abna." Just like the sinks had, the door listened to my command to open. I watched as a snake slithered from the door hinge making all the other snakes let go of the wall as it demanded to pass.

The door swung open and inside was a giant chamber. There were snake statues lining the walkway and at the far end of the room, set high into the wall was a face carved to almost look like professor Dumbledore. Although the expression was far too harsh, he looked as though he was shouting. I guessed that this must be Salazar Slytherin. Below him was a pool of water and next to the pool lay a figure with bright red hair.

I scurried through the doorway and ran to my brother. "Ron? Ron wake up! Oh PLEASE wake up." I tried shaking him but he would not wake.

"He wont wake." I turned, startled by the new voice. I turned to find a boy, a few years older than me. He was in Slytherin robes, he looked pale as a ghost.

"Who are you?"

"I am Tom Riddle." He said with a smirk.

I had placed my wand on the ground when I was shaking Ron. As I looked for it I realized it was in Tom's hand.

"Give me my wand back." I demanded, growing rather annoyed at his whole mysterious air.

"You wont be needing it." He said rather nonchalantly.

"The snake..."

"The Basilisk wont come until its called." He stated.

"You. You killed Myrtle all those years ago." I accuse.

"Yes, too bad she was the only one." he said rather as if he was indeed upset that no one else had died.

"Why would you say something like that? Who do you think you are?!" I demand, outraged.

"Tom Marvelow Riddle." He wrote it in the air with his wand. Then with a flick of his wand the letters rearranged themselves to say "I am Lord Voldemort."

I jumped back at the name. I had heard the stories of why I no longer had parents. I knew why I had a scar even if I couldn't remember the details.

"You" I said with the most hatred in my voice that has ever filled me. "You killed my parents, now you are trying to take my brother from me. YOU GIVE HIM BACK TO ME RIGHT NOW!" I screamed the last part.

"No, in fact what would be the fun in that? You wouldn't get  to meet my friend." He chuckled. Fear coursed through me as I realized he was going to call the Basilisk. "Harne ai "

At the command to come to him I turned and ran down the chamber. I could hear the Basilisk slithering out of a tube from somewhere. For now all I had to do was keep my eyes away from the Basilisk and stay ahead of it. I kept running.
