Yudai leaned against one of the three posts as the rest of his team arrived. Naruto was already tied to a post, and all three of their stomachs were growling.

"What's up with your stomachs? Skip breakfast?" Yudai asked dully as he popped the peach pit he saved earlier into his mouth.

"Kakashi-sensei told us not to eat anything or we'd throw it back up." Sakura replied.

"Um, actually the porcupine merely suggested we not eat. He said nothing along the lines of an order." Yudai pointed out as the rest of his team got depression lines over their heads.

"If you're all done moping, I have something to tell you," Kakashi drew the genin's attention towards him. "I've decided not to send you three back to the academy."

Naruto's face light up with excitement while Sakura became confused. As Yudai listened to them chatter, a light bulb went off in his head.

"Wait a second you said three Porcupine. Are you ignoring me like all the others?" Yudai growled as he narrowed his eyes at Kakashi.

"Yes, I said three and no I am not ignoring you Yudai. Out of the four of you, only you got the point of the test." Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke looked at Yudai in shock.

"Unlike the rest of you, Yudai figured out that the point of the test. Individually, you four had little to no chance at obtaining a bell, but as a team your chances would have increased," Kakashi explained as realization dawned on them, "Instead, you three pushed Yudai's attempt at working together away. You weren't thinking like ninjas you were thinking like little kids."

The insult seemed to have ticked Sasuke off since he charged at Kakashi. Yudai decided to take action and quickly intercepted his teammate.

With swift hands, Yudai soon had Sasuke pinned to the ground with one of his fans poised at his throat. The peach pit had already been spit out and lossed as Yudai's nails dug into Sasuke's arm.

"Calm down Uchiha. Make one wrong move and your he'd will roll." Yudai hissed as his eyes turned ice cold and became slitted like a snake.

"Thank you Yudai," Sasuke struggled under Yudai's grip as Kakashi began to talk.

"You only think about you-" Kakashi was interrupted when Sakura began to freak.

"YUDAI, YOU CAN'T JUST STEP ON HIM LIKE HE'S SOME BUG!"

"As I was saying, you don't know what it means to be a ninja. You think it's a game huh? Have you ever wondered why we put you on teams?" Kakashi asked sternly.

"I-I don't know what you mean." Sakura admitted.

"It means that you don't know what this exercise is about. Besides Yudai, none of you figured it out. That's what determines if you pass or fail."

"I still don't get it."

"Yeah, how are we supposed to know why you put three people in a team?! We didn't make the rules!"

"It's teamwork you idiots." Yudai hissed as a tiny line of blood began to roll down Sasuke's neck.

Yudai watched as full realization appeared on their faces. If his hands were free, Yudai would have hit them all on the head.

"Exactly. As I mentioned before if all four of you had attacked me, then you might have been able to take them. With three bells, I purposefully pitted you against each other. Though Yudai here seemed to be more focused on actually killing me." Kakashi gave the white haired teen a worried glance.

Yudai met his gaze with a stare as a cold chill ran down Kakashi's spine. The snake like eyes of Yudai reminded him of his mother.
