I looked in the mirror and put another coat of mascara on my lashes. Putting a light pink color on my lips, I walked out of my bathroom.
My phone buzzed on my nightstand. I looked over at it then sat on the edge of my bed to put my heels on. I stood up and spun around. I did look good; definitely not trying to kill my feet, but definitely drawing attention. My phone buzzed again.
I walked over to my nightstand and picked up my phone, reading the messages.
One was from Madi telling me that she'll meet me at the party. The second one was from Miles saying he's in my driveway.
I sighed, grabbing my purse and putting my phone inside it. I walked down the stairs and went to the door.
"Here goes nothing," I mumbled, pulling the door open right as Miles was about to knock.
"Please do not knock my forehead," I said to him, smiling.
He looked me up and down for a few moments before replying, "You look beautiful."
"Thank you. So do you," I replied. He smirked before I realized what I said. "I mean you lool rather handsome."
He chuckled, "Are you ready to go?" I nodded and he lead me to the car, holding the door open.
The inside of his car was completely dark except for the bright lights of the dashboard. I watched him get in and start driving down the road.
He was in dark-washed jeans, a white button down, and a leather jacket. The complete bad boy look; which I didn't disagree with for him. He did get extra points for wearing vans.
He glanced at me and then turned the radio on. Alternative rock, not bad.
"Why are you watching me," he asked, glancing at me again.
"I don't know. "
He smirked and pulled into the driveway of Kayla's house. He got out of the car and ran around to open my door.
"Brownie points for being a gentleman," I said softly.
He laughed, "You're giving me brownie points?"
"Yeah. Duh."
He walked me up to the front door and I knocked. Few moments later, Madi opened up the door and gave me a big hug. Backing up, she checked out Miles.
"You're carrying the fine goods tonight, aren't you," she asked.
"Careful, he's private property only."
"Hello, I am right here," he stated.
"Then what would your input be," I asked, turning to him.
He looked at me and took in my expression. "Yeah, I think I'm private property tonight."
"Mhmm... thought so," I said turning back to Madi.
She took a step back and allowed us inside. The place was huge, like 'omg I can't believe this isn't a hotel' huge.
There were also so many people in here that it was hard to push past the crowds.
I looked back at Miles. "Don't lose me, okay?" Once he nodded I moved along again.
I felt two hands on my waist and looked back to see Miles. I lead him to the kitchen where there was a lot more room to move around. I grabbed two cups and filled them with water, handing one to him. He nodded his thanks and looked around the room.
"So this is what your ex-boyfriends' new girlfriend's house looks like," he asked, observing his surroundings.
"Yep," I replied coldly. "Come on let's go dance," I said, pulling him into the other room.
Miles pulled me against him and I put my arms around his neck, his resting on my waist. I leaned my head against his chest until the song was over.
We made our way back to the kitchen and got more water. We were laughing about how we met when the door of the kitchen swung open and two very passionate people stepped through. They were obviously coming here to be alone so they could finish sticking their tongues down each others throats. They looked up at us and completely froze.
"Well it's nice to see you didn't get bored," I said, my voice dropping a few degrees.
