Adrian's glare softened a little bit as he slowly released my hand.
"Hi Mr. Davis, sorry for the......" his voice trailed off as he placed the same hand he had used to grab me to his nape, awkwardly scratching it, "You know, the glare i just gave you. I thought something wasn't right for a minute" Adrian said as if he was now bored. I knew this would happen, Greg's the best actor i know.
"it's fine, don't worry about it" Greg said while laughing "If you all don't mind, i really need to borrow my daughter because we'll be attending a party later this evening. And don't call mr. Davis, it makes me feel old. Call me Greg" Greg said still laughing and Adrian faked a giggle and nobbed his head
"Don't worry about it mr..... I mean Greg. We would see each other tomorrow anyways" Adrian said and looked at me before going back towards his friends
I would've fangirled by the thought of Adrian giggling, but something about it being fake made me think otherwise. I haven't seen him smile or laugh that was true.
Greg yanked me again and kept walking towards our house and i can't help but think what kind of trick Greg will put up tomorrow. I tried not to think about what kind of torture Greg had for me today.
We reached our house and Greg released me from his hold a little to gentle in his part. I looked at him confused since he didn't start arguing and beating me for what just happened but instead, he looked..... excited.
"Go to the living room. I laid down a dress for you. Take a bath and make yourself look a little bit..... descent" he said scanning my body up and down, dismissing me.
I was stunned at first but i didn't argue back so that i don't ruin his mood and took the dress from the living room.
The dress was a beautiful. It was a gorgeous white dress that went a little above my knees. The boning of the dress was visible and it was a little transparent towards the middle. Beautiful lace also covered it making it look elegant and expensive. Beside the stunning dress, there were accessories that complemented the dress as well as a 3 inch heels laid down on the floor.
This is absolutely outrageous. What the hell is happening? Not only that Greg was being (probably not genuine) nice to me, he actually took time to skip his job, went to whatever store he brought this from, and actually gived it to me.
Probably because he's happy to be able to get rid of you tomorrow, stop thinking to much. A voice in my head echoed through. That had to be it. I'll be dead by tomorrow.
Yeah, no shit. I shivered at that thought. Like hell I'll die without a fight, whoever Greg invited to this charade, I'll bring him with me in my grave.
I knew something was up. It isn't a mere coincidence that my birthday was tomorrow and the fact that he was a little kind to me was way off.
I didn't care what kind of sick plan he had for my birthday. I only thought about my freedom from everything. Even though i had a feeling i wouldn't live til the next day, atleast I'll be free in heaven.
I quickly went upstairs not wanting to spoil Greg's mood. I went towards the bathroom looking at my appearance. Drips of water still cascaded down my body from head to toe and my makeup was smudged downwards to where the water fell. The mascara looked awfully bad as if i cried all 10 years with my life.
