More Than Friends | Shaylivia

Chapter 1

Shayne:

Olivia and I laid next to each other in my bed. The covers wrapped around us while I tangled her Raven hair with my fingers. It was only around Eight P.M. which wasn't necessarily late but, after dinner we engaged in some physical activities if you will. We spent the last half hour just embracing each other and enjoying one another's company.

"Shayne....." Olivia said suddenly and paused.

"Shayne...." I mocked her dramatically.

Olivia shot me a look.

"Sorry" I said smiling.

"Shayne, you don't understand how much I think you're just a pretty great person" She said.

"Thanks, I think you're a really great person too" I replied.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah, otherwise I would've kicked you out" I teased.

"You wouldn't dare" She said giggling.

"Watch me" I said smirking.

I jumped up off the bed and grabbed her by the waist. I found her over my shoulders upside down and started walking towards my bedroom door.

"Shayne!" Olivia said hitting my back with her fists.

"What's that? I thought I heard something?" I joked looking around.

"Put me down!" She squealed.

"Hmm and why would I do that?" I asked.

"Hmm because if you don't, I'll tell the squad about what happened last night" She said deviously.

"You wouldn't" I said shifting her weight.

"Try me" She said.

Realizing she had more leverage than I did, I let her fall off my shoulders back onto the bed. I slid in the bed next to her. Olivia wrapped the covers around us again.

"So I was thinking-" She began.

Olivia was interrupted when Damien yelled from the down the hall. Normally I would think something was wrong but, he had just bought the new Red Dead game and said he'd be playing all night. Granted this wasn't the first time he yelled. Probably because he died online again. I didn't mind because I was used to it, but Olivia got tired of it after it interrupted our activity earlier.

"That's the fifth time tonight Shayne" She said glaring at me.

"Sorry, don't mind him, it's just a new game and everything" I excused.

"Mhm" She said irked.

"Anyways as I was saying-" She began again.

"Oh come on!" Damien's voice yelled again.

"Okay that's it" Olivia said.

She got out of bed and started to put on pajamas over her underwear. I sat up knowing what was about to happen.

"Babe c'mon, I'll text him and ask him to keep it down" I tried to say.

"Nope, I'm going over there" She said slipping my oversized shirt on.

"Wait" I said standing up.

I barely managed to throw on pajama bottoms before following her out the door and down the hall. Olivia knocked loudly on Damien's door. I heard him get up and come to the door.

"Uh hey what's up?" He said opening the door.

"As if you don't know" Olivia huffed.

"Uh I don't know what you mean" He said confused.

"Your insistent yelling has been interrupting my me time non stop" She said annoyed.

"Me time? Last I checked you're over here" Damien said.

Uh oh. I did my best to try to signal with my hands behind Olivia's back for him to stop before he kept talking. He didn't get the message.

"Excuse me?" She said.

"Uh this is also my apartment, last time I checked, Shayne's name is on the lease not yours" He said.

God damn it.

"If that's how you wanna play it" She said.

"Shayne?" She asked.

I really didn't want to get involved in this.

"Uh yeah?" I said.

"Tell your good buddy Damien to turn off his Xstation off or I'll make sure it doesn't turn on again" Olivia asked.

"Um it's called an Xbox, and Shayne are you really going to take her side over mine?" He asked.

"I uh..." I said.

I looked back and forth between the impatient look on Olivia's face and the look on Damien's face.

"Maybe you could just take a break until tommorow morning?" I suggested meekly.

Damien shot a look at me before looking back at Olivia. He was about to say something before I looked at him and pleaded with my eyes.

"Fine....." He muttered.

"Thanks, and don't be too loud in the morning, a girl's gotta sleep in" Olivia said smiling as she twirled away.

She walked back to our room and went inside while Damien looked at me.

"Dude what was that?" He asked.

"An impossible situation" I said in my defense.

"Sureeee" Damien said and closed his door.

I probably just lost some best friend points but, I think I gained some girlfriend points. I walked back to my room and saw Olivia back in the bed on her phone.

"Hey babe" She said as I laid next to her.

"Hey" I said resetting my pillow.

Olivia put her phone away and rolled over to face me.

"So, what I was trying to tell you earlier is that, I love you" She said.

"Haha I love you too babe" I said.

I planted a sweet kiss on her forehead and then a quick peck to her lips. She returned the favor with a peck to my cheek. I flipped the light off the lamp next to the bed and snuggled in closer to her. Olivia did the same and turned the other lamp off.

"Goodnight sweet prince" She said.

"Goodnight my love" I said.

"See you at work tomorrow" She said giggling.

"See you at work tomorrow" I said grinning.
