Ambers Surprise Sweet 16

"Oh shit!" Bubbles sighed as she wiped some sweat from her brow as she added more icing to her rubber spatula to put on Ambers birthday cake for later. Amber was now 16 today and Bubbles and Phil wanted to make her first birthday with them special and memorable. They booked up a banquet hall at the Shatto just to have a surprise party for her and invited all their mutuals and friends of Ambers.

"How's the cake coming along babe?" Phil asked as he walked in the door holding a small crate with Ambers present inside.

"Been working on it all morning Oh I just want it to be perfect I hope she'll like it" Bubbles said licking buttercream filling off her fingers as she finished up and put the cake in the trunk of the car In the garage.

"Oh anything from her mom she'll love it smells good in here. Anyways I went and picked up the puppy we picked out last week for Amber come here when you're done" Phil said as he opened the kennel door as a little apricot puppet labradoodle puppy slowly made his way out shyly. 

"Hey there little guy cmon now" Phil said as he picked the dog up cuddling it. "Now your new mommy is gonna be home from school in a few minutes and I think you'll like her a lot"

"Okay I'm back awww oooh Amber is gonna flip her shit!" Bubbles said as she pet the dogs head as it kissed her nose.

"Oh you betcha" Phil said as the sound of the front door opening in the other room.

"Hey I'm home and Jade's with me too!" Ambers voice called out

"Hello Mr and Mrs Phillips!" Jade shouted "where are you guys?"

"Hey.We're in the living room come in Amber we got your present for you" Phil called as Amber and Jade raced in to see Bubbles and Phil grinning ear to ear while Bubbles got her phone out go record Ambers reaction as Phil let the puppy down as he ran toward Amber leaping all over her.

"Omg! So fucking cute!!" Amber gasped one hand over her mouth as she reached down to pick up the labradoodle puppy.

"So what you think Amber?" Bubbles asked

"Wait this is it? He's all mine? Are you serious?!" Amber squealed

"He sure is. Happy birthday doll" Phil said as Amber began to cry in joy as the dog licked her face while Jade pet him.

"Does he come with a name?" Jade asked

"No come to think of it Amber it's your dog you name him" Phil said

"Bowie I always thought that would be a cute name plus Jade and I are obsessed with David Bowie so it works" Amber replied

"Then Bowie it shall be" Bubbles said "Happy sweet 16 Ambey" Bubbles began calling her by that nickname ever since they adopted Amber. Amber passed Bowie to Jade as she ran over to hug Bubbles and Phil.

"Aww man thank you so much! You are the best parents ever!" Amber said squeezing the hell out of them.

"You are so welcome sweetheart I'm so glad you love him! Your mom and I were at the pet store looking around and just couldn't help but think of you and had to get him" Phil said "I am not much of a dog person but oh If Bowie can win me over he's a keeper and most definitely a Phillips family member. Now remember and Im sure you know that Bowie is gonna be your responsibility when you're home and that he will involve being cared for no one else. I trust you can handle most of that on your own. You promise?"

"Oh dad I promise. You know I will you can trust me. I will Bowie is my pride and joy" Amber held out her pinky to link it with Phil's "I pinky swear on it on Larry and Ronny's graves" she said as Phil's pinky interlocked with hers.

"Oh stop it you behave now" Phil laughed as he tapped her on the head with a rolled up newspaper as a joke. "Now why don't you and Jade go get dolled up we wanna take you somewhere special" he said.

Later on After Amber and Jade got into some going out evening wear, Phil took a blindfold and stuck it over Ambers eyes.

"Um dad what? Should I be scared?" Amber joked as Phil and Bubbles grabbed her arms leading her to the car as Jade followed.

"No no it's good you're gonna be happy this is like part two of your surprise" Phil said

"Aw you really didn't have to go to this extent Dad you and mom adopting me was a present enough for me" Amber said as Phil ducked her head so she didn't hit the top of the car door frame

"Now now we do this cuz we love you just enjoy the ride and we'll tell you when we are here" Phil said as he shut the door and got in and drove them to the Shatto Hall where he group texted everyone waiting at the hall he rented that they were here.

"Alright come on grab on I got ya" Phil said as she got out of the car and he reached for her arm while Bubbles walked by her gently touching her back pushing her in the direction they wanted her to go.

Back in the banquet hall Jacinto and James and many other including Lt.Banning, And Jacinto's recent new girlfriend Priscilla and many more. Priscilla also happened to be a close friend of Ambers since like kindergarten who recently switched schools after some brutal bullying took place and she was reunited with Amber whom took her in their group of friends.

"God what is taking her so god damn long? she should have been here like ages ago" groaned Millie Edwards,Connie's only kid who also goes to school with Amber and was her only other human friend and in the same grade she was. Millie had recently been befriended by her and got closer with Amber after her old friends dumped her for defending a puppet they were bullying in the hallway during lunch hour. Amber and her ended up very close.

"Is she really gonna be fucking late again? I hope she doesn't miss cake like she did with my birthday,Either she prob is passed out after having another dose of sugar stix or works running late" Millie added

"I really hope to god that it's the second guess" Jacinto said

"Sugar Stix are gonna kill her if she doesn't stop Phil has tried hiding her sugar stash but she keeps finding where it is and will like fight him and get so aggressive and grouchy without her fix" James said.

"Shh you guys I hear Phil Jade and Bubbles coming in with Amber quiet!" said Priscilla interrupting.
