"Are we here yet dad? Can I take my blindfold off?" Amber asked as she,Phil,Bubbles and Jade made it to the banquet hall where the party was gonna be taking place.

"Hold on hold on I'll get it" Phil said as he nodded at Bubbles who gave the quiet crowd a countdown on her manicured fingers after she set the cake on a wheeled cart and Jade lit the candles. Phil untied the blindfold as Amber opens her eyes to see all her close friends and family (well everyone but Connie).

"Surprise!" Shouted everyone.

"Awww you guys!! Jade you also helped them with this?" Amber said hands over her heart and a hand over her mouth tears in her eyes knowing Phil and Bubbles couldn't have possibly knew how to get a hold of people from their school. Jade responded with nod as she kissed and hugged her girlfriend. Bubbles began to roll the cake over in front of Amber as everyone began to sing to happy birthday to her.

"Make a wish darling" Bubbles said smiling as Amber leaned over to blow out the candles as everyone cheered. Jade took a swab of icing and dabbed it on Ambers nose laughing.

"Aw thank you everyone mom did you bake this yourself?" Amber asked as she licked some icing off her fingers that she wiped off her nose.

"I sure did happy birthday" Bubbles said hugging and kissing Amber "Now who wants cake?!" She asked as she got a knife and began to cut some slices.

"Hey Uncle Phil!!" Millie called out as she ran over to Phil.

"Oh hey there Millie your mom make it?" Phil asked giving her a brief hug.

"That's what I came to talk to you about I been texting her and she hasn't been answering normally she responds so fast but she hasn't replied to me at all! She knew Ambers birthday party was today too" Millie said showing him her phone as Phil looked it over.

"You try calling her?" He asked

"No but let's try" Millie said as they took off to outside the banquet room to phone Connie.

"Er-uh hello.." yawned a half asleep Connie as she picked up

"Hey edwards it's Phil on your daughters phone I'm with her right now where the fuck are you?" Phil said

"Mom it's Ambers birthday party we talked about this for weeks!" Millie added

"Oh shitcakes! That's right! Oh I'm sorry I had a long day and uh feel asleep for a few hours losing track of time I should have set an alarm I'll be right there please save me some cake okay?" Connie said as she got up and quickly fixed her hair and smoothed out her outfit she got into before she feel asleep.

"Alright see you soon" Phil said

"Bye mom" Millie hung up the phone and sighed a bit "Uncle Phil this is so weird she's not normally a napper unless she...she snorts sugar sticks..she better not have.."

"Hey don't worry about it as long as she makes it here and isn't under the influence that's what matters" Phil said patting her shoulder. "It'll be fine let's just go have fun and celebrate Ambers day keep a brave face on for her okay?"

"Okay thanks uncle Phil you're the best" said Millie hugging him briefly then heading back into the banquet hall as Phil followed while many people were starting speeches about how much Ambers meant to them through the years growing up. Phil soon had to get ready being he had a song and speech prepared. James who was before him was telling some funny stories about all the pranks he had pulled on Amber and embarrassing stories.

"...but anyways That's my time. I hope you have a good birthday Amber and May 16 be a year of good health and good times!" James said as everyone began to applaud him. "Now we have Ambers father Phil who has a little thing he has prepared. Phil Phillips ladies and gents!"James introduced as Phil made his way up and took the microphone from James.
