Oh crap..
How did I kill a dude that was already dead? I glanced up at the woman in complete shock as my mind fumbled for words to speak.
"I-I didn't do anything!" I screamed, leaping away from the old man. I glanced over at his face, wondering how you could die twice when the woman crossed the room oddly fast, her cold hands latching onto my arm.
"Wait till they hear about this..." She mumbled, beginning to drag me. I groaned from the effort of trying to remove her hand from my arm as her fingernails began to draw blood. A small whimper came from my throat as I dug my heels into the ground, trying to get her to stop. I didn't want to die twice, I wanted to live again.
"Please, you have to believe me! I didn't do anything!" I cried as she yanked my arm, finally dragging me from the room. I helplessly began to follow her, fear running through my veins when we finally reached the room where Michael and I had appeared in at first. Michael was leaning against the wall, speaking with an old woman when his eyes met mine, a questioning look growing on his face. The woman stopped, shoving me forward towards the middle of the room, where everyone began to stare and creep closer.
"Michelle, why have you brought her back? I thought she was going to the dungeons?" A man asked, shoving his way towards the front of the crowd. I glanced towards Michael, begging him to get me out of this place. I wanted to be back in my house with the snow hitting the windows, and the eerie silence. Anywhere was better than here. He shrugged helplessly before joining the group, taking a spot in the front row.
"She killed him!" The woman cried, glaring towards me. There was a silenced hush that erupted throughout the room, everyone glancing towards me. I opened my mouth, trying to say something when the man interrupted us once again, anger laced in his words.
"We must kill her before she does the same to us! The prophecy warned us of this, and now we need to get rid of her before she brings more deaths to our world!" He yelled to the room, his voice bouncing off the quiet walls.
"I didn't mean too! I didn't do anything actually! You have to believe me, please! I just want to get out of here, I don't want to be dead." I wailed, dropping to my knees. Maybe if I begged and pleaded, they would tell me how to come back to life.
"And you think we all wanted to die?" Someone asked from the crowd, their voice laced with fear and anger. They had a point. Most of these people seemed to look as if they were murdered when they were alive.
"We won't give you any of our pity, little girl. What we need to do is get rid of you, for good." Someone else called out from the crowd.
"Yeah, kill the girl!"
I placed my face in my hands, preparing for death again when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"I'll take it from here." Michael announced to the advancing group.
"If you take her, we will kill you too Michael. Do not underestimate us. You know what she is capable of. If you take her, you'll be as good as dead." The woman from earlier spoke, taking two steps closer to us.
I watched in confusion as Michael grinned, tightening his grip on my shoulder.
"I already am Debra." He laughed, as people began to lunge, their hands looking for a limb to grab onto.
The world seemed to whirl around, everyone's faces beginning to mix together before it went completely dark. When I opened them, we were back in the lake house, exactly how we left it.
"Wh-what now?" I asked, climbing to my feet shakily. I glanced over towards Michael, my heart immediately falling into my gut. His face was pale, his hands shaky.
"We're so screwed."

hey guys! i know i haven't updated in SUCH a long time, but I have been so busy! I moved to a new state, and started at a new school, so I took a short break from writing as I adjusted. But I promise I'm back and better than ever! I'm also going to start updating my other book "Dimensions" while I also work on publishing chapters to this book! I'm also going to work on lengthening the chapters and I'm going to be working on making them more detailed. Again, I am so sorry, I promise it won't happen again.
