[Relatively short chapter but I got as much as I could out while still following my outline so I mean-]
The cool autumn breeze blew heavily as a decently young boy locked a slightly damaged, black bike up near an apartment complex. He sighed deeply, his brown eyes watering for unknown reasons after looking up at the night sky for a moment.
His brown hair was tousled in the wind and drops of salty water fell from his eyes. He clicked the lock and walked away from the bike racks. He sniffled quietly as he climbed up the stairs leading to his apartment. He dug through his backpack searching for his keys as more tears fell from his eyes onto the bag and the floor.
He pulled the keys out and reached to unlock the door until someone bumped into him from behind. He slowly turned his head to look up at the taller man who quickly apologized. "I'm so so sorry for bumping into yo- Are you okay?" He asked. The shorter boy sniffled again. "O-oh ye-yeah, I'm fine." He replied quickly, too quickly for the older's liking.
"My name's Seokjin, by the way. I live a couple rooms over on the left." The older, Seokjin, stated. The smaller boy nodded. "I-I'm Jun-Jungkook." The broad-shouldered man smiled and held his right hand out. Jungkook stood there confused for a few seconds before shaking it. "I'll be going now, stay safe, kid." Seokjin said before walking off to his apartment.
Jungkook sighed heavily before unlocking his apartment and walking inside. There was nothing too special about it, really. A couch that could easily sit three people and two single person chairs sat around a coffee table with a television facing the couch stood a few feet away from the entryway where he left his shoes.
A couple feet behind the rightmost chair was the dining area which consisted of a decently sized wooden table with four chairs surrounding it, the kitchen to the left of it. The hallway with the bathroom, his bedroom, and the guest room was to the right of the dining area. He trudged down the hall after messily throwing his bag onto the couch.
The door to his room opened and he threw himself on his bed, not bothering to remove his black sweatshirt. He soon fell into a sleep filled with dreams of nothing and silence.

Jungkook awoke the next morning to the beeping of his alarm beeping loudly. He groaned and hit the top of it aimlessly a few times before finally hitting the "off" button.
He threw himself off his bed, landing on the floor. He stood up and reset his alarm, as per usual, and continued on with his morning routine.
Once he was completely ready, Jungkook noticed he had around half an hour left until he had to leave. 'I should probably check the mail.' He thought and opened the door, only to be met with Seokjin.
Seokjin had a paper plate with aluminium foil covering whatever was on it. "I made some cookies for you, as a sort of apology for bumping into you last night." He motioned for Jungkook to take the plate from him. "Oh, thank you Seokjin-ssi." He took the plate and held it awkwardly in his hands.
"You don't have to be so formal with me, Jungkook. Just call me hyung, it makes me sound less old." The older joked, laughing quietly and Jungkook laughed quietly as well.
"I'll be heading off now, have a nice day, Jungkook!" Seokjin said as he walked away.
Jungkook was left extremely confused. Why was he suddenly trying to befriend him? Is it because he started crying for no reason last night?
Well, it wasn't for no reason. He had an overwhelming amount of work from college to do along with trying to keep up with working a three hour shift at a cafe that started at 8PM.
Honest to God, he was surprised he slept at all some nights. He ran down the stairs after Seokjin finally left to the mailboxes. He opened his and was greeted with nothing except a notice that his rent was due in two weeks. He'd definitely pay it early so he could save up more for the next payment.
Speaking of which, he would get his paycheck in two days. Perfect.
He ran back up and set the plate on the table after glancing at it for a second. He shook his head after he heard a short and very familiar phase echo in his mind.
'You can't eat that!'
His eyes watered a little before he quickly rubbed them and shaking his head a few times.
"I know."
