Jungkook slowly opened his brown eyes. At first, he didn't feel anything.
He finally realised he was laying on the floor in a fetal position. He tried to list himself up off the ground but his arms gave out immediately.
He groaned and all his muscles were sore. The boy slowly lifted himself off of the bathroom floor and held onto the sink for support.
He was rather confused, to say the least.
He'd thrown up plenty of times after failed attempts to eat but he's never passed out before. Definitely concerning.
He walked out of the bathroom, holding tightly onto the walls of his apartment. He made it to the kitchen, ignoring everything the voice screamed at him and opened the fridge.
There wasn't much in it, which was expected for someone such as himself, but there were still a couple things that hadn't gone bad yet.
There was a gallon of milk due to expire in two weeks, a small package of lettuce set to expire in about four days, a bottle of salad dressing that was good for a little over a week, and a can of tomato paste. In all honesty, Jungkook was confused why that was even there but paid it no mind.
He took the lettuce out and set it on the table. He walked over to the pantry and opened the door, not much was in it. There were several bags of snacks that probably went bad a while ago, if they could, and an assortment of canned food.
There was a can of garbanzo beans [note: chickpeas], which was still pretty confusing. He looked at the top of the can for the expiration date.
Jan 15 19
It was good for a couple months.
Score.
He brought it back over to the kitchen and strained all the water out. He grabbed a large-ish mixing bowl and dumped a fair amount of the lettuce into it. A handful of the garbanzo beans and a bit of the dressing was added to it and mixed around until it was all evenly distributed.
'You shouldn't e-'
"Shut the fuck up." Jungkook mumbled angrily.
He was going to get better and nobody was going to stop him. He knew it sure as hell was going to be hard but it was going to happen. He didn't need anyone to help him, he could do this.
He sat on the couch with the bowl and the fork. He smiled to himself, proud that he could even look at the food and want to eat it.
He consumed about half of the salad before feeling content with it. He lifted his shirt up to just above his now slightly less noticeable ribs.
Jungkook got up and walked towards his room. He searched through his bag of art supplies and found he should probably buy some more coloured pencils.
As he was getting everything ready to leave he heard two of his neighbours talking rather loudly. He couldn't hear it very well but picked up on something along the lines of, "Yoongi go get me cake pans" or something.
Weird ass neighbours.
Jungkook decided he might as well bring his backpack with him since he didn't know how much stuff he'd end up buying.
Mi-gyeong would swear on her cafe that he always comes home with more art supplies than he actually needed.
He didn't have much in his backpack anyways.
