Jungkook sat around in his apartment constantly shifting positions on the couch for whatever reason.
He picked his phone up off the coffee table and checked the time.
4:23 PM, it read.
He sighed and made himself look more presentable and left the house.
The air outside was cold, which was expected as it was the end of autumn, and the breeze blew softly. He walked quickly down the stairs to the bike rack and unlocked it.
He hopped on his bike and checked for passing cars, which were few and far between.
Jungkook biked down the hill once again to the train station. Everything from then on went as usual; he rode the train to his regular stop, got off, and biked to the cafe to start his shift.
He walked in and quickly changed into the uniform and took his place behind the register. His shift went as it usually does until Mi-gyeong silently walked up behind him.
There were no customers in line at the moment so it was the perfect time for her to strike.
She stood behind him for a few seconds and then grabbed his shoulders causing him to yell in surprise and turn around as quickly as possible.
The taller woman stood there and laughed for a bit before wiping tears from her eyes. "That was great, thanks kid," She laughed and walked away.
Jungkook smiled back and turned back towards the cash register.
That little event made the rest of the staff currently on their shifts a bit happier which was Mi-gyeong's real intention. She loved it whenever all of her workers were happy and motivated and always helped as best she could when they weren't.
As per usual, Seokjin walked in with Yoongi and two people he didn't recognize.
Yoongi and the two other boys walked up to the register while Seokjin grabbed a table for the four of them.
"G-good e-evening, hyung! What c-can I get f-for you?" Jungkook stuttered, smiling sweetly.
Yoongi smiled back, the two other boys watching the exchange in bewilderment. Min Yoongi smiling at someone they'd never met before? Never in a million years.
"Good evening, Jungkookie-a. Could we just get four slices of the strawberry cake?" The older asked, still smiling. Jungkook nodded.
"Yep! You came at a good time too, normally it's all sold out by now. I never get to have any because of it," He pouted.
Prior to developing his... inability to eat, he used to take desserts home with him after work and sometimes gave them to his parents when they visited. Good times.
"That'll be $11.05, I'll have the cake out in just a bit." The three of them stepped off to the side and Jungkook crouched down to put the cake in little plastic containers. The walked over to where they stood and handed it to them.
"Have a nice day, hyung." The three were graced with that rabbit smile again.
Though, as he was giving the containers to Yoongi and the other boys they noticed his sleeve fell down his arm a bit, exposing how healthily thin his wrists are.
Yoongi sighed and wondered if he'd ever get close enough to the shorter to help him with whatever was going on with him.
Maybe someday.
