I'm just going to add random/slightly plot relevant songs to the chapters because I listen to a lot of really ""sad"" songs because I'm lonely

Turn on subtitles for most of the songs too because most of them are probably in Japanese because I listen to weeb music

Jungkook stood up from his seat in the familiar lecture hall where he spent his last class of the day three times a week.

His final class ended at 5 PM and his shift at the café started at 5:30, ending an hour later. He walked outside and unlocked his bike again.

The café was a fifteen minute bike ride off campus and was, thankfully, really close to the train station.

He started biking after re-adjusting his backpack and putting his helmet on.

His head felt light and his stomach ached severely but he kept biking until he finally got to the cafe. He quickly locked it up and ran through one of the side doors, as per usual.

One of his older co-workers (although no by much) stood near the door. "I-I'm sorry Mi-gyeong-nim, I didn't mean to be la-" Jungkook quickly apologised. The woman, Mi-gyeong, ruffled his hair and smiled. "Calm down kid, you're actually a bit early." She pointed out, Jungkook's stiff figure deflating.

He looked like he hadn't gotten any sleep last night, which wasn't wrong but it wasn't right either. "Since you look like you're about to pass out, I'll let you off your shift fifteen minutes early." Mi-gyeong was really laid back outside of work, when she didn't have to be the manager of a small cafe, but relatively strict during work hours.

"Thank you, so much Mi-gyeong!" Jungkook exclaimed, surprised she let him off early like that. Her smile grew a little and he patted his head. "You're welcome, kid, now go get your uniform on and start working." He nodded and scurried off to the backroom to get his uniform on.

----

A familiar group of six people sat in, arguably, the best spot in the small building. On his breaks, Jungkook would sit at one of the small tables near the large window next to the entrance to the cafe. Near the small tables were two larger tables that could sit at least four people each.

He noticed one of them staring at him, and he looked more familiar than the other five but his exhausted mind couldn't place who it was.

He'd been ringing up orders for about twenty minutes before the familiar man came up to the register. He was looking down at the computer, clicking a few things to start the next order before a hand tapped his shoulder.

Jungkook flinched and looked up.

Seokjin. That's who it was.

"O-Oh h-hi, Seo-Seokjin-ssi." His face burned bright red because of how much he stuttered around people he wasn't really familiar with.

The older rolled his eyes. "You can just call me hyung, Jungkook-a."

Why was this guy so informal? Jungkook questioned internally. "Ri-right." He mumbled.

"Would you like me to go you anything?" The younger asked quickly. Jin nodded. "Yes actually, my friends are too lazy to come and order their own drinks. Could I get two regular mochas, one chai latte, two macchiatos, one carmel, and an iced tea, please?" He requested.

Jungkook quickly typed everything into the computer and read out the cost. "That'll be 35.97. Do you need anything else?" Seokjin shook his head and swiped his card.

"Thanks for the cookies by the way, they were really good." Jungkook remembered to thank the elder, who was now smiling. "You're welcome, I really like to bake so I thought I might as well make something for you." The taller stated.

A few minutes later all the drinks were finished and Mi-gyeong, who often helped out during his shift, called for the older. "Drinks for Kim Seokjin!" She yelled and the broad-shouldered man walked over and picked up the drinks with the help of a man an inch shorter.

"Thank you." He said and bowed quickly before sitting back down at his table.

----

The rest of Jungkook's shift went by slowly, as per usual, after Seokjin and his group left the cafe. Towards the end of his shortened shift, Mi-gyeong walked up behind him and tapped his shoulder.

Jungkook had almost fallen asleep for the fifth time in half an hour and she was tired of seeing the boy so exhausted. "Jungkook-a, go home. I'll take it from here but you really need the rest." She said softly and he nodded.

He dragged himself into the back room, changing out of his uniform slowly. While he was putting his regular clothes on, he glanced at his scarred thigh and the voice came back.

With it's return, he finished getting dressed and held his apartment key in his hand. He wouldn't do anything other than pull a little skin up but that was enough for the voice to be satisfied.

'Hurt yourself with it.' It taunted and he did so, feeling powerless to do much else at the moment.

The fatigue combined with his ever worsening nausea made him feel like a helpless child, a feeling he'd prefer not to have. He pushed his jeans down slightly and roughly pressed the sharp part of the key against his thigh before pulling it back towards him swiftly, pain now burning in the upper portion of his left leg.

He wanted to break down and cry until he passed out right there, but he had to get home. He didn't want to worry Mi-gyeong more than he already had today.

He shook his head and bolted for his bike and rode it as quickly as possible without losing balance to the train station. The next train was due to arrive in five minutes so all he could do was sit down on one of the benches and clutch his stomach until it came.

He'd been so focused on not being sick, he almost missed when the train pulled into the station. He looked up abruptly and walked his bike inside and support it on the chair in front of him.

His hand was holding tightly onto his bike, the other around his stomach. A small sheet of sweat started forming on his forehead; he was snapped out of his thoughts by the name of his stop being announced on the speakers and the train slowly coming to a complete stop.

He shot up and walked his bike out of the train, almost tripping a number of times. Jungkook hopped on his bike but before he would even start pedaling he gagged heavily and took that as a sign to get home as soon as possible.

He biked up the hill, occasionally choking on air for a few seconds before regaining the ability to breathe properly.

The apartment complex was a few yards a away and he reached it a few seconds after he finally looked up to see it. The frail boy threw himself off his bike, locking it with shaky hands, and bolting up the staircase.

After fumbling with the keys, his backpack was thrown on the floor and his legs gave out once he ran into the bathroom.

Jungkook dragged himself to the toilet and vomited the small amount of food he had eaten and more stomach acid than was healthy. He weakly reached for the lever to flush it down and barely made it before passing out on the floor, his vision going to nothing.

Next up: Jungkook meets Yoongi at an art store!

Shit okay sorry I meant to add a scene where Jin goes "oh yeah those fuckwads over there are (insert names)" but it didn't really seem like it'd fit as well as I thought it would so I cut it out

But I made a note in my outline to actually follow whatever the fuck I wrote for the "next up" thing so I actually follow what I say I'm going to write

ALsO

Mi-gyeong is some random ass OC I have that I low-key forgot about until now so like

She won't have too big a role in the story but she'll definitely be in the story that appears more often than not

Another note really quick, I have no clue what so ever what order the other characters meet Jungkook in so comment who you want him to meet after he socializes with lil meow meow
