Steve's POV:
Maggie kept having nightmares about hill house so I finally paid someone to take it down. After that it was over she wasn't having nightmares anymore it's been a month and my wedding with Maddie is getting closer and closer everyday I cannot wait to marry her she's so amazing. But Maggie and Maddie got into a small argument the other day. It went a little like this.
Maggie: "Hey Maddie?"
Maddie: "Yes?"
Maggie: "Why don't you have a job? You just take dad's money. In kindergarten you're supposed to know what you wanna be when you grow up and you don't have a clue."
Maddie: "You're right Maggie. I'll get a job as soon as I can."
Maggie went to her room and Maddie went to mine and sat at the end of the bed. I looked at her and could tell she was sad.
Me: "What is wrong my love?"
Maddie: "Maggie and I had a small argument but she's right."
Me: "About what?"
Maddie: "Me not having a job. I'm just taking your money and it's not fair to you. I need to get a job."
Me: "No you don't you know why. Because I'm giving you the life you've never had you've had to work your entire life. Remember the shitty apartment you had before you lived with me. You live in this big house with me and I make enough money so you never have to work again. So don't you ever say you need a job because I'm providing you the life you've always wanted."
Maddie hugged me and kissed me.
Maddie: "Nobody's ever done this for me. I love you Steve."
Me: "I love you too. I'm going to go talk to her."
I went to Maggie's room and sat on the chair in her room.
Me: "Sweetie can we talk?"
Maggie: "Yes Dad."
Me: "I'm not saying you have to apologize even though you should. But Mom isn't getting a job. Mom had a bad life before she was with me and I'm giving her the life she's always wanted."
Maggie: "I'm sorry."
Me: "I'm not the one you should apologize to."
Maggie apologized to Maddie. Everything's been fine. Maddie's mom came for a visit. Maggie is very fond of her.
