"Behind this smile is everything you'll never understand"

"HARRY!", another voice shouted as a blue-haired female emerged from the railing, surveying the sea where I concluded that the fellow fell down. Leaning my head closer down the cliff, I closed my eyes trying to ignore the shouts of the pirates from the distance when the voice of Fairy Godmother appeared in my mind emitting a frustrated groan from my lips.

Always help those in need.

Her words echoing from miles away as I quietly submerged my tail underwater along with my upper body. Rolling my eyes at this stupidity, I glided deeper to the seafloor to stay hidden from their sight as I traversed the waves, their voices sounded right above me as I swam nearer. My eyes surveying through the enigmatic water, narrowing my gaze as I tried my hardest to look for the person behind the total darkness. My frustration boiling as I scanned over the area but to no avail, I couldn't find one single person. I almost gave up when a shining metal shined from the corner of my eye. Maneuvering carefully towards the small light, I froze at the figure of a man lying down on the bottom lifelessly. His body unmoving as I hurriedly grabbed his arms and hauled him on my shoulder, swimming far away from the ship. I urged my fins to move faster as a sense of dread filled my stomach when I felt the person's body grew colder every second. His silky hair flowing through the current and covering his face from me as I swam faster upward. A gasp tore out from my lips as I broke through the surface, my limbs shaking in absolute exhaustion and this stupid boy just decided it wanted to go in the night swim. Sighing in relief, I dragged the unconscious body to the shore which was thankfully nearby.

A groan escaped my lips as I pulled his heavy body onto the surface which proved to be quite a feat because the this man weighed a thousand ton. Stopping when his body is halfway out the water, I turned the boy around before lying beside him helplessly, desperately catching my breath. My body was discharged of energy and my tail was totally drained out. I turned my head towards the boy and to my horror, his chest completely still. Leaning over my shoulder. I placed my palm over his chest as I willed my power to burn the water in his lungs.

"By the void's embrace and ocean's caress,

Leave the body unhurt, let the water be burned,

Let this paradox merge into nothingness."

A light appeared from my fingertips as the man choked underneath me gasping for much-needed air, but thankfully he remained unconscious and unaware of his surroundings. Sighing in relief, I finally calmed down. This day has been nothing but full of surprises. And bad decisions, I guess. With everything quieting down, I was able to observed the man curiously at last. My gaze wandering off towards his red leather jacket, which was dripping with water from the direction of his pale white face. His dark browning hair stuck themselves on his forehead as he lay limply and large spots of black ink smeared on his eyes and down the side of his face. He definitely looks like a clown. In a horror film.

My eyes then fell down on his lips which were parted slightly and despite his appearance, his lips were the only thing that looked normal. My hand itched to touch but I controlled myself. Instead, I proceeded to remove the ruined eyeliner from his eyes, my hand carefully moving towards him when suddenly, a large hand shot up and grabbed my wrist in a tight grip. My eyes widening in alarm right before I struggled to release my arm from the hold when another hand grasped my shoulder, pinning me on the sand floor.

"Well, what do we have 'ere?"

A hoarse voice spoke from above me. My eyes glared upward in the direction of the culprit, only to freeze at the icy, crystallized irises of the owner. There above me, was the man I saved, looking insanely and out of his mind at me with crazed eyes and a mocking tone. His hair still stuck on his forehead and the smudged eyeliner created a trace of dark lining on his face, making him look hauntingly beauti--. Shut up, Disney. This ain't a love story. The man moved his gazed at my form in amazement and wonder before they captured mine again, sending an icy cold sensation coursing through my vein making me shiver.
