"So many of my smiles begin with you"
|Φ|
BIRDS chirped in the distance as I opened my eyes. My hand reached beside me in search of a warm body, only to grasp nothing but thin air.
"Harry?"
The sound of crashing waves was the only answer I got as I sit up looking for him. My eyes were surveying the empty cave when a piece of paper caught my attention. Standing up, I stepped closer to the letter. A small rusted blade was embedded on the wall of the cave, glueing the paperback. I pulled the blade from the rock and snatched the paper with my hand. I then read the contents.
Want to go on an adventure??
Meet me on the shoreline later.
- Harry HookA small smile appeared on my face as yesterday's events flashed in my head. I heaved a deep breath before lying back down on the rocks, closing my eyes in bliss. Darkness swarmed in my vision as the splashing of water was the last thing I heard.
~A Few Hours Later~
Dressed in a simple red dress with a swarthy cloak wrapped around my shoulders, I stepped out of the hidden clearing on the shore. My feet created light footsteps as I stepped in Harry's direction. The wind blew my hair backwards, and the long blackened silk created a halo behind me as my dress swished down my legs. My eyes were unmoving from Harry's figure, observing the nervous expression painted on his face which was so unlike him.
"Harry.", I called out to him from the distance while stepping on the cold pavement. Harry stood up straighter when he saw me approaching. He sauntered toward me with a laid-back expression and a smirk plastered across his lips but his eyes told me otherwise. He bowed down in front of me, my heart skipping a beat when he looked at me with amusement in his eyes. I laughed at him as he took my hand, kissing it gently, which created a small trail of fire on my skin.
"Milady.", he said, grinning from ear to ear as a blush heated my cheek. I rolled my eyes at the mischief glinting on his irises. He led me down a darkened alleyway while my eyes scanned my surroundings curiously, my hand gripping his red leather jacket tightly when a large man stepped beside us suddenly.
"Where do you plan to take me, pirate?", I asked nervously as several men appeared from every corner, their eyes staring at me maliciously, making me step closer to Harry's figure. I ignored the sneers on their face, my eyes scanning the dark alleyway.
"To the universe and beyond.", he shouted as we rounded a corner. His arms were flailing around him, awakening a drunken man on the floor as his steps quickened. Just then, a loud explosion echoed in the distance.
Oh, boy.
"That's not scary at all.", I whispered lowly under my breath as Harry let out a loud laugh. The crazy glint on his eyes was back as he encircled his arm on my waist, pulling me closer. His lips leaned down on my ear, breath blowing on the exposed skin on my neck as shivers rolled down my spine.
"But princess, that's my speciality."
With that, he pulled me towards another corner. The alleyway was covered in swarthy smoke; I can barely see anything. There was a small light in front of us as Harry pushed me forward. I stumbled on the shards of broken glass, which made me clutch Harry's arm to straighten up myself.
"Will you slow down?", I groaned in annoyance when I almost tripped on my own feet. Harry twirled smoothly in a series of red garments, his arms slipped on my waist before tossing me on his shoulder making me scream in shock.
"Harry! Let me down!", I shouted, slamming my fists on his back furiously.
"Such a princess.", his statement froze me, as my hands lay limply on his back and my heart hammered in my chest as my eyes widened in panic. Before I could say anything, Harry put me down abruptly on the ground, my lungs constricting in a rush as he turned me around, gesturing to the sight in front of us with his arms wide open.
