Every Guy Fawkes Night, a bunch of teenagers from my street collect a bunch of wood and make a big bonfire. Most of the time the fire gets out of control and the fire bragade comes to put it out, but once they're gone, they re-light it. Also the police come about 3 times to tell them to stop lighting it again. They also throw fireworks into the bonfire to make it bigger. It has become a tradition for us. We are also one of the very few streets in Clydebank who have an unofficial bonfire.
Here are some pics. Sorry if they are blurry, my camera's crap and my mum wouldn't let me outside cause they're throwing fireworks at each other and into the bonfire.
Update: Someone almost died. Cause someone threw a firework and it landed right next to him but he dove into the bushes to avoid it. He's okay but it was funny to see him jump into the bushes.
The fire truck is here now and putting out the fire with the police right behind them as usual. But they showed up earlier than expected. All of the kids ran away while some of them were aiming fireworks at the truck.
This girl started throwing fireworks at the firefighters. But she ran away when the police appeared. The firefighters are okay, they has a hose after all. They caught the girl and she's in their van getting questioned or something.
There are now 3 police vans and one car. They're probably questioning everyone who's outside why they let a bunch of kids (most are 11-14) light fireworks.
Hopefully they light it up again cause it's the only thing I like about tonight. I like fireworks cause they're pretty to look at but I hate the sounds they make. It's too loud and a lot of the kids scream every time. It hurts my ears.
But other than that, I love Guy Fawkes Night.
