The three went to the guard house conference room which was the second biggest building after the palace.
When they reached their destination they saw the general and a few of his most trusted soldiers already at the huge table in the middle of the spacious room. They quickly found a seat and sat down.
“Okay”. Started Professor Snape
“ Evelyn has come up with a solution to our problem, Evelyn do you want to share?” He said looking at his boyfriend expectedly.“Yeah, um the solution I came up with is very easy but we will have to gather as much of them as we can into one area. That will make it a hundred times easier".
Evelyn went on to tell them his plan and for the next few hours, they worked on how to make the plan work.
The next day Professor Snape and Evelyn went to the battlefield armed with protection spells in case something went wrong. But sure enough, the soldiers had done the best they could rounding as many learas as they could into one place.
Jearah had done her part and blasted heat waves at the opposing army and many of the Learas quickly left the dimension swearing to come back. Snape quickly navigated in the huge mess and found that the captain of the guards for the Learas.
“Can we please talk?” He asked
“ there has been a huge misunderstanding and we need to fix it”“Of course not, You disrespected us and now you will have to pay the consequences”
“It wasn’t us, it was one person and we have taken care of them so please, do listen”
The captain thought for a min then said:
“ Okay we will be here tomorrow with the royals”
Snape let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, really, thank you"
The captain let out a gust of air through his small animalistic nostrils before turning around and using his stubby legs to walk away.
Evelyn walked up to Snape and hugged him from behind, breathing in his sent.
"We did it!"
"We did it."
"D, D, D, Dora"
"Did you have to"
"Yes," Evelyn said in a dead serious voice.
"Yes"Snape snorted and removed Evelyn's arms from his chest. He turned around and flopped his head down on his lover's.
Evelyn started fidgeting, his jeans, his hoodie, Snape's shirt.
"Uhm, Snape" He paused, rethinking his decision but deciding to go on.
"We've known each since we were kids, but we've only dated for a week, but do you, like want to get a house? Settle down? And"Evelyn took a deep breath and buried his head in Snape's chest.
"And maybe adopt a kid or two?"
"Do you really mean that? Do you actually want to adopt with me? What if we split up?"
Evelyn separated from Snape's chest and stared up at Snape's handsome features.
"I've secretary loved you for years, there's no way that I'd ever let you leave me. As I said, there's no escapé, you can't escape me"
Snape chuckled and hugged Evelyn closer.
"Glad to hear that, because I was referring to you getting tired of me"
He kissed Evelyn's golden mop of hair than his temple, moving down to his ear, his cheekbone, his nose and then finally his lips.
The lovers went back to Snape room in the castle and went right to bed. They have had a long and exhausting day and neither of them wanted to get out of bed for the next five years.
The next day Snape decided to take Evelyn on a well deserved day out. They had been working hard to stop the war the last few weeks and Snape thought they deserved some time to their selves.
He knew Evelyn was a big fan of picnics by the grand pond at the edge of the redblood forest. The forest might have a scary name but it was pretty safe and many of the people who lived in their dimension had spent or were spending their childhood playing there.
Snape decided to make a nice little picnic for his boyfriend with white rose petals surrounding the picnic quilt in a perfect circle and a nice dinner made by the best chef in all of kammanor. He brought Evelyn’s favorite wine. He lights the place up with candles and in the middle of the quilt, he put a bouquet of golden roses. He also has a small black box sitting in his pocket but he was already second-guessing himself and it wasn’t even close to date time.
It was midday and Snape was setting up everything because they would have their date in the evening. Evelyn had no idea what Snape was up to and thought he was finishing up some important paper when he left this morning, little did he know that it was a letter meant for his brother, an invitation.
Evelyn had just finished his work, now with the alliances in order, his work became boring again. Helping people with whatever they asked of him. People really took his and Snape's places in the government as a joke, it wasn't rare that someone asked them to find a missing cat or baby.
But Evelyn didn't really mind, even though he thought of it as boring, for it meant that he could spend more time with his boyfriend.
But today was different, Snape hadn't arrived for work, at all. Which was strange for he was a natural workaholic, it wasn't rare for him to use his good looks or charisma to lull his victims to spill the metaphorical beans. Sure, it did make Evelyn jealous but seeing the victims faces when Snape decided that he had gotten enough information and therefore dropped the act, was always fun.
When Evelyn walked from his and Snape's shared office he suddenly got a message. "Meet me at the grand pond by the redblood forest, I have a surprise for you ;)" it read. Evelyn was first confused as to what the surprise could be, but then he noticed the little winky face at the end and the sentence suddenly got a whole new meaning.
