Finding the learas weakness was going to be hard. Dimensions were often really strict about telling others so most of the time the only people who knew of the weakness were the people who had it.

That meant even ally's did not know their weakness. You could never be too cautious when it came to your people.

After an hour of looking at the paper after paper and not finding anything, Evelyn finally found an old newspaper that seemed to be reporting an invasion about 100 years ago. The invasion was in their dimension so unfortunately the article was mostly focused on what happened here but it did mention the Learas not being able to help do to something the enemies were doing.

'That has to be their weakness' thought Evelyn.

He looked for more clues but there was no more mention. Evelyn decided he would go to the kammanoran archive and look for more clues. He got up and went to back into the stables to tell Snape

He rounded the corner as he had previously, this time alone. And saw Snape gesturing like a madman.

"So let me get this straight" Snape sighed,
"You didn't think they would get so offended by sending them 'You're weak, we don't need you as our allies, come back to us when you can prove yourself'? How can you not get offended by that?"

The captain who had turned back to his human-looking state shrugged.

"Don't you dare just shrug this off!"

Evelyn was now right behind Snape, barely holding in his laughter, he sounded like a mom scolding her kids.

Kids.

When all this was over and everything calmed down should they adopt some? Evelyn had always loved kids, he was just bad at handling them.

He smiled at the thought of Snape and him kissing their children goodnight.

He mentally shook his head and tapped Snape on the shoulder.

"I think that I've found something, but I need to search the archives for it"

"Only one thing or more? we might need a backup plan"

Evelyn shook his head.

"I only got one lead and even that one is mostly speculation"

Snape's face began to darken with thoughts until he turned around to look at the Captain, sitting on a chair, still bound, snoring.

Evelyn's face immediately turned into one that clearly communicated his thoughts 'bitch, really?'

Snape smacked the Captain across his face, and of course, he woke up.

"What was the reason you thought the learas was weak?"

“They’re small. the tallest is just above 5 feet, and that’s very tall for them. They’re always about peace and harmony. How are they supposed to fight on a war alongside us if they don’t want to hurt people?” The captain said in a 'duh' tune.

“They may be small but the smallest one can probably leave you on the floor bleeding. Yes, they’re all about peace but as you can now see, they don’t have a thing against hurting those who hurt them. Being level-headed and peaceful doesn’t make you weak you idiot” yelled Snape angrily.

“I’m going to leave before I lose some brain cells listening to this imbecile,” said Evelyn already making his way to the door. He didn’t want to stick around to see what the dumbass had to say.

He made his way down the hall and out the closest door. He quickly changed into this duck form and flew off to the kammanoran Archives. One perk about being a golden duck was that he could fly as well as their dragon friends.
