"Yoohoo! Anybody home?!" My voice echoed around Marcel's compound, intrigued and cautious faces floating into view as the doors slammed shut behind me. "Marcellus!" My tone sang, a smile taking over my lips when I paused in the courts center.

"I know that voice," greeted me in return, my back turning to watch the man in question jogging down his staircase--a half-tailored suit covering his body. "It's been too long Adelina," his jovial voice pulled me in, his touch comforting as I was encouraged into a hug.

"You're telling me(?) Once Klaus' follower turned ruler of his city."

"Sorry, but I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting," a hand was extended to my partner, she ignored it--eyes glaring hard.

"Oh, Hayley this is Marcel, vampire. Marcel this is Hayley, werewolf," I introduced, eyes picking up on a dark glint entering Marcel's eyes. "She's actually involved in the pack you had cursed a little while back, now that I think about it."

"Now, I know you ain't been here in a long while, Adie--and I do consider you a friend seeing as we do go aways back, but one of my rules is the banning of Werewolves in my quarter."

I ignored his warning, my eyes doing a sweep of the semi-decorated room-- "Preparing for a party?"

"Yes, tonight in fact," his tone grew clipped.

"Well, isn't that good timing," a giggle escaped me, my head craning back to see Hayley's smile equally as enthusiastic.

"Adelina," my attention returned to the vampire, pupils picking up on the surrounding balcony gaining familiar faces--his sirelings. "We have rules--"

"No," I interrupted with an innocent shake of the head.

"I'm sorry?"

"No--You had rules. But you're not in charge anymore--well, not completely."

That signature smile grew, "Says who(?)"

"Says me," a wave of my hand flung all doors open, the faces of Marcel's past now filling the building's ground floor. "You see, I've had a very busy morning--Freeing Elijah, visiting that secret weapon of yours; I assume Father Kieran got my message to you." His flared nostrils became my answer, "Then on the way here I thought I'd do a bit of good--and that's when I remembered about that little 'garden' of yours. I half expected them all to run, I gave them the choice after all to beg you for forgiveness or escape into the sunset."

His fists clenched with impatience, "Then why am I surrounded?"

"They decided to follow me--of their own free will, of course. And I couldn't turn them away, I'm just too nice--DON'T!" My stare held a particular vampire in place, Thierry's attempt to advance to Marcel's aid my main focus. My voice rose in decibels as I addressed the room, "I mean you all no harm, quite the opposite in fact. I believe we can all help each other."
