The Realization

Will POV

I woke up to the sound of the birds chirping outside.
I couldn't get what Eleven said last night to me out of my head..
Feelings for someone else now...
Is it Lucas? Gaten? heck, is it Max? I don't know.
But there is no way that its me...
She gave me a pity kiss. Nothing more than that. After all, she knows that we are just friends.
I zoned out of my thoughts and pushed them to the back of my head. I just wanted to have fun with Eleven today.
No more monsters.
Just her and I.
Thats when i looked at my watch and saw that it read 11:32.
What? Jonathan always wakes me up at 8 AM, why would he let me sleep in?
I brushed it off believing he went to go see Nancy or something.
I walked into the kitchen and there wasn't any breakfast on the table, and my mom nor Hopper was making any food. They weren't even there.
Our whole Byers house was empty of anyone except Eleven and I.
...
And thats when it hit me.
Wait... They weren't here yesterday either...
I was starting to panic.
Then i remembered.
Not one of my friends parents were home yesterday. I was freaking out and i went to go wake Eleven up.
Thankfully, Eleven was still here.
I went to the couch where she slept and slowly and softly shook her shoulders back and forth until her eyes fluttered open.
I couldn't speak for a moment. I just admired her beauty.
"Take a picture, it lasts longer." She said to me smiling like she herself didn't even understand what she had just said.
When did she learn about 'jokes?'
I giggled embarrassed and shook it off.
Then i remembered what i wanted to tell her, and my face slowly frowned and got all serious. This made her smile fade away, and she looked at me in the eye.
"Eleven, Hopper, my mom and brother aren't home yet, and they haven't been for a full 48 hours." i said, my eyebrows furrowing.
She looked discontent and worried.
"Lets call the others."
"Good idea." i replied.
I got my walkie talkie out of my room and buzzed for Mike. He immediately picked it up, worriedly.
"Whats wrong?" he said.
"Are your parents home?" i asked.
"Umm, no."
"What about Nancy, Holly?" i asked desperately.
"No... Will you are starting to scare me. Whats going on here?"
"My parents and brother aren't home either. Last night Lucas' parents and his sister weren't home. Im assuming Max's parents weren't home because she was able to get Billy's car, and Dustin said to me that his mom wasn't home. All of our parents are gone." i replied.
There was a long pause of silence, and then Mikes voice changed.
"They are all gone?" he asked worriedly.
"I think so." i answered briefly.
The pause got even longer when Mike turned his walkie talkie off.
"Mike? Hello?" I hollered.
No answer.
I put my walkie talkie on the ground, and I turned to Eleven.
"What is going on?" i asked her, knowing she wouldn't be able to answer.
She looked at me for a long time, and i could see she was thinking deeply about it.

Eleven POV

I thought about it for a moment, then i started getting sidetracked thinking about my life.
I was taken away from my family too. I was taken away from everything. Papa, the lab, it was all i'd ever known. Then i learned that i had a mother. Apparently, she knew too much about how the lab was abusing children for military power, and they took her away. Just like when Joyce came close to figuring out the labs secret portal, They created a fake body for Will. And when Barbara died in the upside down, they said she died from chemical toxins from the lab as an excuse. When Hopper knew everything the lab had ever done, and they made an agreement fir him to stay silent, so he could keep me safe. They have been hiding their mistakes for as long as they can, but always targeting the wrong people... I saw papa die right in front of my eyes. Was that all fake? Was that all their plan? To make us believe they are gone, by using powers from different numbers? They must've kidnapped all of the siblings and parents of the relevant children like us. They must think that if we take the influence away, everything will go back to the way it was?
Right?
