Eleven POV

Everything i said to Will was true.
He was practically the reason that i broke up with Mike. I couldn't stand the thought in my head that Will might be the one. That i could be missing someone perfect right before my eyes.
I liked Will, and i knew that he liked me too.
...
I walked into Wills kitchen in the morning to make myself some eggos. Hopper taught me how.
Hopper.
The guilty feeling came back to my stomach, and i remembered what i wanted to say to him.
Thats when i saw him sitting down at the table, by himself, in the dark.
I turned the light switch on, and he didn't flinch.
He was awake though.
I sat next to him, and there was a small amount of silence before i decided to say something.
...
"Anything on your mind?" i asked, quietly.
His eyes looked red and bloodshot, like he had been awake all night.
"Just my little girl."
He said with no eye contact.
...
"I lost Sarah to cancer when she was 6."
...
I winced.
No, you didn't..
...
"I almost lost you yesterday." He finished.
He looked up from his hands and into my eyes.
I wanted to speak, but no words could come out of my mouth.
"I don't think i could ever love someone the way that i love you two. I think about Sarah everyday. I loved her with all my heart. I cant lose you now Eleven. You mean too much to me."
I just sat next to him.
The tic of the timer for the eggos got faster and faster, until it stopped, as i started talking.
...
"No." i said shaking my head.
...
He looked at me hurt and confused. He didn't understand.
"Sarah."
He sat there, remembering her. He didn't even know what i was going to say.
...
"She is alive."
...
He looked up from his hands, and into my eyes.
"She flatlined in front of my eyes, Eleven. I watched it happen. I cant keep living in this fantasy world where everything i thought i knew i didn't.
My little girl is dead."
He said coldly.
...
"She is number 10. I heard the bad men talking about her." I said.
He looked at me and in his eyes, i saw
hope and fear.
...
He got up out of the chair and i did too. We met in between the two chairs and
he hugged me.
I felt his face hit the edge of my shoulder, and i could feel his tears falling onto my shirt, making it wet.
"How did they fake her death?" He said in between sniffles.
"I don't know. Probably another numbers powers."
He pulled back from my hug and pat my back looking happy.
"I love you, kid." he said sweetly.
"I love you too." i said, looking him straight in the eye.
I went back to go get my eggo, and it was burnt.
I began to scrape of the burned parts of the waffle, when Jonathan walked in.
I never really knew Jonathan that well, we never really officially, met.
I smiled quickly to him and he smiled back. He looked happy, but guilty as well.
Huh. I wonder what he's up to.
His clothes looked nicer than usual, and he was also really nervous. He grabbed his car keys and left without a sound.
Ohhh.
It must be Nancy.
