The Slime

Will POV

I remembered this place.
A place where i lost everything i ever knew.
A place where i was home, and far far away.
A place where i knew only fear and pain.
And now i was willingly going back.
Willingly proceeding to walk into a monster infested lab to save Hoppers little girl.
It was worth it.
Hopper went into the upside down to save me.
Why should i do any different?
I shivered in my skin. This place was where everything started, and got worse.
I felt Eleven's eyes on me, and i looked back at her.
We made eye contact, and she looked terrified.
For me, and for Hoppers daughter.
We were just about at the streetlight when Hopper stopped us in our tracks. He grabbed both of our shoulders and leaned in close.
"Follow me. Stay behind me at all times. We all have to stick together of we want to get through. I love you." he said pulling us into a hug.
What if the monster kidnaps me again?
What if i never see Jonathan or mom again?
What if they think i am dead again?
Thoughts scrambled through my head.
I felt Eleven's hand rub my back.
...
"Its ok. Im here." she said.
I smiled.
Eleven would protect me of need be, and i knew that.
Hopper looked at Eleven funny, and kept walking with us trailing behind, keeping his silence.
Does Hopper suspect that we like each other?
My face turned a light shade of pink thinking about it, but i stayed silent and kept walking.
...
The doors to the lab where wide open, and the smell of death, rot and blood blanketed the entire first floor.
I pushed the cloth covering my mouth higher up so that it was right beneath my nostrils.
I tugged onto my backpack and trudged along the blood smeared floors of the lab.
We kept walking until we reached stairs to the second floor. On the second floor was the spot where the portal first opened, and thats where Eleven's salt water tub was.
Hopper crept up the stairs tiptoeing to not make a sound.
We heard the sound of grumbling and growling, and we turned around.
...
There stood a full sized demogorgan.
Its teeth where bared, and blood was wiped across its chest and dripping from its mouth. Its claws were showing, grasping the air again and again. It looked hungry and ready to fight.
My eyes widened and traveled up the monsters body to its huge mouth opened wide.
I froze, and i couldn't move any of my muscles. I was stuck in one position, and my mind refused to let me move.
Everything was in slow motion.
I felt the monsters claws scratch across my chest, and i fell to the ground.
The creature hovered over me, its bloody spit dripping on my face from its mouth which was right above my face.
Its spit fell on my face, and i felt a piercing scream come from its mouth.
"WILL!" I heard Hopper yell.
He shot the monster in the mouth with his rifle, and it squealed falling backwards dead.
I lay on the ground completely frozen of any movement.
I felt Eleven rush over to me and rip my clothes open until my chest until it was completely bare.

Eleven POV

Wills chest was scarred with the demogorgon's claws. It was bleeding profusely and there was green goop surrounding the cut.
I backed up away from the cut.
A vision appeared in my head.
...
I walked towards the monster. Strange noises came from its mouth.
I was scared, but curious. The pitch black room showed no sign of any light, so i couldn't see what the monster looked like. The water splashed against my feet, making them cold and wet.
The sounds got louder and louder until i felt the presence of the monster right before me.
The noises were muffled, like the creature was eating something.
I reached my hand out to touch it.
Its skin was slimy and gooey, and i saw a flash of green slime on the monster before it turned its head around baring its teeth at me.
I screamed out of pure fear, and ran away as far as i could.
I could feel the ground crumble beneath me, and my screams echoed in my ear until i opened my eyes.
I opened my eyes and saw Hopper running while carrying Will up the stairs.
"Eleven come on!" he yelled.
I ran after him until we saw the room where my salt bath originally was.
Hopper ran in with me after him.
