I opened my eyes slightly and slowly as I felt the weakness that was surging through my veins, which pulsed with agony. My mind couldn’t process much of my surroundings as I wondered where I was.
The once blurred vision cleared as I noticed dark stone walls that surrounded me, then I turned my head down to see my hands and legs strapped to an uncomfortable chair that most probably would give me splinters in the arse - someone or something didn’t want me to leave. As I raised my head back up, I saw a tanned laid back man that was examining me from the corner of the cave-like room. My weakness turned into anger as I flared up.
“Let me go!” I yelled trying to kick my legs, screaming in the hopes I’d break free. In some sort of weird way, I didn’t feel afraid nor felt any fear but I felt pure anger like I’d never had before. It made me feel murderous and dangerous.
"I don't know what's so interesting about you," the words lingered off his tongue like it would off a snake’s tongue if one could talk.
“What do you want? Are you going to kill me or rape me? Since men are so stereotypical that it’s either one or the other.”
“God no, I’m not going to rape you or kill you. Dear, why would I do that?” He gave me a curious but concerned look that baffled me.
“Well, my mysterious kidnapper,” I said as I smiled, “you did in fact hit me out cold and drag me to a cave of some sort. So what’s your motive? Money?”
It was hard to keep up the tough look since my head throbbed. Let’s hope I wasn’t bleeding or anything.
“This may be hard to believe but, I did not kidnap you for any of those things. Well, I didn’t really kidnap you; I just wanted to have time to talk to you but… I dreamt about you.”
“Oh really now? Next thing you know you could be dreaming about fairies and unicorns and you’d probably say that I’m one of those fairies,” I said as I crossed my arms, “like I’m convinced.”
He paced the room back and forth running his large hands through his hair as he turned back to stare at me, then he started, “Yes really. I swear to you that I will not harm you in any way but how is it possible for me to dream about you when I have never ever seen you in my entire life. Don’t you think that’s weird? I specifically remember me chasing after you in this very forest but somehow you were able to outrun me, you seemed a lot faster. Then I saw you barricading yourself in that hut while I was trying to break the door down, and I almost killed you.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
"That is not possible. I had the same dream although it was me who was running away from you - you weren’t human, you were beyond that.”
He stopped pacing and sat down on a similar chair opposite me. From what I could see, it looked like he was trying to put two pieces of a puzzle together. I couldn’t help but do the same; like I said, he was beyond human but he wasn’t a vampire, he was a werewolf.
"You’re a werewolf aren’t you?”
"Please don’t be afraid of me,” he pleaded.
"Stay away from me dog,” I hissed.
Before even I knew it, I was able to break myself out of the ropes with a stunned looking guy staring at me with disbelief.
"Whoa, for a little lady like you, you sure are strong."
I felt violent but tamed by my own emotions. I wanted to murder him but the little voice in my head pulled me back; he was lucky.
“As I said before, I want to talk.”
