my eyes fluttered open, hearing the beeping sound of a machine and chairs in a hospital room. Sadie was at my bedside, along with Caleb who sat with his hand in her own as she held my hand and looked at the ground, unaware that I was awake.

I gave off a slight grunt, looking at Sadie who looked as if her neck had snapped with how fast she spun her head to look at me. I raised an eyebrow at her, attempting to sit up but instantly being dragged down by Sadie who stood up, took my arm and told me not to put too much strain on any part of my body. I had never seen her so worried about anything in the space of time I'd gotten to know her, and become her best friend.

"I love you, (Y/n). You scared the shit outta' me!" Sadie said with a slight chuckle, but I could see her eyes fill with pools of tears.

"I love you too, Sadie. Thanks for staying at my bedside." I smiled, putting my hand over hers as she rested it on my bed.

"She hasn't half waited, she hasn't moved out of that seat since she found out you were in here." Caleb referenced to the chair closest to the bed and I realised there was a blanket and a pillow on it, my own eyes filled with tears. Nobody had ever shown me that they cared this much in my entire life.

"How long have I been in?" I asked curiously, still not moving my hand out from on top of Sadies. It wasn't as if she had a problem with it anyway.

"A couple of days.." Sadie trailed off, looking at her make shift bed on the chair. I smiled more knowing it had been days since she has left my side.

"You need a good nights rest, Sadie. You can go home, it's fine." I smiled, and her hand tightened around my own as she gave me a very serious look.

"No fucking way am I leaving you here." She said sternly, sitting back down in her chair without letting go of my hand. Moments of a comfortable silence passed, but I quickly interrupted it, shooting my eyes wide open.

"Where is Finn?" I asked in a more worried tone than before, attempting to sit up. Caleb looked at Sadie, lowering his eyebrows and clasping his hands on his lap.

"Well, (Y/n) -" Sadie was cut off by the door opening, causing me to shift my attention from her to the door. Finn stood there, leaning against the doorframe with a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. He had a crutch, but it didn't seem as if he severely needed it.

"I'm so happy you're awake, baby." Finn said as he sat on the chair at the other side of my bed, so he could still be really close to me.

"Thank you, how are you?" I asked, looking at him and then his crutch he had left against the chair. He only chuckled at my question before opening his mouth.

"Me? I'm fine babe. I can't believe you're asking me that, I woke up yesterday. We've been waiting for you to wake up, and we were really worried..." He trailed off, holding my other hand gently. I clung to both Sadie and Finn, smiling at both of them.

"My hero's." I giggled and Sadie smiled.

"Anytime, (n/n) [nickname]." Sadie smiled, rubbing her thumb in circular motions on the back of my hands. I smiled, squeezing her hand tightly for a moment.

"So, the doctor said you should be ready to go home soon." Finn spoke, smiling. He was clearly pleased with the news, and to be honest so was I.

"Okay, well that's great! I just wanna go home, maybe we could stop at (favourite food place)?" I asked with a sweet smile, causing Caleb to nod.

"I could devour that right now, I'll drive?" Caleb smiled, I guessed that Finn wouldn't be able to drive for a while both because he wouldn't want to after an accident and that he would be told not to after being in one.

"I would love that!" Sadie smiled, looking over to Caleb who leaned his head on her shoulder, kissing it through her shirt very briefly and then going back to leaning on her. I always admired their relationship, it was adorable.

"Me too." Finn smiled, kissing my hand softly. Just then, the doctor walked into the room and smiled when he seen that I was awake.

"Thank Goodness you're awake, Miss (L/n). You'll be able to leave very shortly, we'll have to send you home with crutches and will have you ask you to be very careful as to what you do. You need plenty of rest as you were effected more by the accident than Mr Wolfhard." The doctor told me, writing down notes about what he was saying and I nodded.

"We can take care of her, thank you so much Doc'" Finn smiled, and the Doctor smiled back.

"I'd love to say see you soon, but I hope you're never in here for another accident. Both of you." The doctor chuckled, earning laughs from everyone in the room, Sadie nodding as well. "We'll get you discharged and then you're free, Miss (L/n)."
