Part 20

Laela just sits there and finishes her breakfast while Lily freaks out. 

"I said i sold my flat. I live here now. I assumed since you were staying with me, that you'd live here too. But you do not have to. This isn't some kidnapping shit." Laela looked up at her and chewed on her bottom lip. 

Lily instantly felt bad, "No.. I wasn't trying to say that. I was just freaking out about the fact that i was never told any of this until now." She sits down at the table and grabs her phone, checking the time.

"It's 10, should we leave?" Laela looks up at her and Lily nods, getting up to get her boots by the door, Laela putting the same ones from yesterday on as well. They go out to the car and get in, Lily hooking her phone up to the aux chord and playing Xo by eden. 

They sit in a comfortable silence, humming along to the song until Laela turns it off, using the steering wheel. She looks over at Laela, "Can we talk? And you not lie to me?" 

Lily nods her head, "Of course, there's no reason to lie."

Laela nods then chews on her lip for a minutes, "So.. about last night... What was that?" Lily blushes, embarrassed. She stares out the window for a minute, contemplating her answer, "Uhm. I don't really know. But, i enjoyed it." 

Laela nods again then blushes, mumbling a soft "I did too.. I miss us." 

Lily blushes more and agrees with her then looks out the window again. 

"Do you think we could ever be together again?" 

She looks shocked and turns to look at Laela. After a few moments, she answers, "Uhm. I'm not really sure. I would like to. But, I just got my heart broken. I don't wanna jump into this again, especially since we didn't work out once. It takes time."

"I understand that. I'm sorry for trying to jump into this again. Just being with you for the past couple days have made me realize how much i missed you." 

Lily's blushing even more and pulls her sleeve over her hand, covering her smile "Really? It's made me realize that, too. We can try? Because I know i do kind of like you." 

"I'm okay with that! Let me know if i overstep, okay? I don't want to make you uncomfortable at all." Laela's smile is huge and the apple of her cheeks are still a tint of pink. She pulls into a parking lot and when she parks, she situates herself so she's facing Lily. "Can i kiss you?" She's biting her lip and smiling.

Lily blushes and turns to face her then nods her head, mumbling "Mhmm."

Laela leans forward and presses her lips to Lily's closing her eyes as well. They're both smiling, until the kiss is interrupted by Laela's phone ringing. 

She picks it up, "Hello?"

"Oh, no. That's fine-- I probably could around 7 tonight."

"Alright, thank you." She hangs up the phone and grab her purse from the backseat, putting her phone in the side pocket and making sure she has her wallet. Once she sees it in there and she finds the gift card, she turns to Lily again. "Shall we go now, my love?" Lily nods eagerly and opens her door, grabbing her bag first, and getting out. 

"Can we go to hot topic? There clothes are so cute!" Lily squeals quietly and pouts her lip.

Laela laughs and nods, "Would you care if we went to starbucks first?" 

"That's fine. I wikes dat pwace." 

They walk into the mall and Lily looks around amazed. On her left there's a walk in taco bell and a Chic-fil-a. On the right there's a McDonald's with a play place built in. And in the center of all this glory, there was a play place. It had a couple slides, one big and one small. There was a couple raised up animals on the floor, a butterfly, a lion, and a dinosaur. And right smack dab in the center was an igloo type thing. It had 1 space big enough for someone to crawl through on 2 sides of this thing. It had a ladder on the side, going up to the round about balcony that connects to a slide. A faerie is sitting at the entrance, greeting people as they come in and a dinosaur is telling them by when they leave. (They're electronic and have sensors, so when someone walks past them, they speak.) The floor is made out of this thick mat, so if you were to fall, it wouldn't hurt. Around this playground, there is a circular bench for the caregivers to sit.

Lily sees it and gasps really loud. "What. Is. That." 

Laela looks up from her phone and sees what she's looking at. "Oh, that's a play place. Did i not tell you what this place was?"  Lily shakes her head.

"It's a mall for the little community. Didn't you notice that those are not actual children in the place?"

And that's that. It's just a filler chapter for right now. I don't wanna give away too much of my plans for the story yet. 

When i first started writing this, i didn't think i would get this much demand for people wanting me to update or people actually liking my writing (technically typing, oof) 

I just wanna say i love each and every one of you! Even my little ghost followers who dont interact, haha.
