A/N: Hi everyone. I'm back with another chapter. I apologize for the lack of length but I'm still struggling a little on this one. Also, my work location has gotten very very busy with the holidays coming up. But I will do my best to update more frequently.
Arthit knows that Kongpob is trying to come up with an answer he thinks the older wants to hear. He knows Kongpob is trying to figure out a good lie. What he doesn't know is why, and it's driving him crazy, "Kongpob, I'm going to count to ten and if you don't give me an honest answer I'll assume-"
"Do you hate me P'Arthit? Am I just a burden?"
Okay, that was not the response he had been expecting, "Why in the world do you think I hate you?" Did everyone in the school think he hated the younger boy?
Kongpob averts his gaze and worries his lip before he answers, "My classmates say you're only helping me because you feel obligated to after what happened. Only thing is I don't know what happened. I can't remember anything."
Arthit wants to smack himself in the face. No one except the two of them were there outside the hotel that night and only he alone remembers. No wonder so many rumors were starting to circulate and putting him in a bad light, "Do you want me to tell you what happened?"
Kongpob nods and walks over to his bed taking a seat and folding his hands in his lap.
Arthit sits on the bed next to him but keeps a decent amount of space between them, "The night before you were attacked you and some of the other juniors were drinking. You had broken the rules and I had been furious with you. Not you specifically just your whole class," He clears his throat remembering the angry and hurt he had felt, "Although you appeared to be sober I was still angry. You came after me to apologize but I was too upset. I took my anger out on you but I only scolded you. I told you I was canceling the following day's activities and I wanted you out of my sight. I never-" He takes a deep breath, "I could see the hurt in your eyes that night, but I-" He shakes his head, "I never wanted you to get hurt. I thought you would go back to your room and stay there. When we found you the next morning like that I just-"
"So it's my own fault," Kongpob whispers, "If I hadn't left the hotel none of this would have happened," HIs hands grip the fabric of his pants, "I'm sorry."
Arthit without thinking takes Kongpob's hands into his own squeezing them tightly, "No, Kongpob, no. this isn't your fault. You're not to blame and I know I'm not either. No one of could predict that it was going to happen. You have no reason to apologize. The ones who are at fault are the ones who attacked you."
"Mugged,"
Arthit stops and looks at him, "What?"
"I wasn't attacked, I was mugged," Kongpob repeats, "Or at least I think I was. I had my phone with me that night and when you found me it was gone,"
"Wait, how do you know that?"
Kongpob shakes his head, "I didn't, well I-" he sighed, "Em, told me that when I left the room that night I had taken my phone with me. But when you found me the next morning I didn't have it did I?"
Arthit thought for a moment before he looks up, "You're right, you didn't. And none of your classmates brought it forward," He leans forward resting his forehead in his hands having released Kongpob's, "Well that clears up one thing but-" he turns his head, "It was just your phone right, nothing else? You didn't take your wallet either?"
Kongpob shakes his head, "No, I don't think so. Em just told me that I had grabbed my phone before I left. Besides if I remember correctly the shorts I was wearing when you found me didn't have any pockets. And even without my memory intact I know it's not a good idea to carry your wallet around unless you have someplace safe to keep it."
