A/N: Okay everyone! I am happy to announce a new chapter! I can't apologize enough for taking so long though, but I have good reasons! 1. I went to see my fave Korean group BTS (yes I'm an A.R.M.Y), 2. Earlier this year was my father's 1st death anniversary, so I was pretty down for a while. 3. My work has been moving me around a lot for my job. In fact, it's still in effect. But I finally found time and motivation to work on this. I do apologize for the length, but I had to end it where I did for the storyline purposes. I do have the next chapter planned out for the most part, but again no guarantee when I'll update. I promise to try my best to update sooner though. Please enjoy!
"Kongpob, are you almost finished?"
Kongpob glances up from his place at his roommate and now boyfriend's desk, "Almost," He answers before glancing back down at the half-filled sheet of paper in front of him.
"Well, finish up so we can go to eat. After that I plan on quizzing you for your next exam," Arthit instructs as he finishes making the bed and fluffing up the pillow. It had been an uneventful week and Arthit was still on edge and he did not bother hiding it. Kongpob and stayed by his side every chance he got and surprisingly Arthit was not bothered by it. Having his now-boyfriend within eyesight sans classes was more comforting than he had anticipated it would be. It also helped Arthit's friends were very accepting of their relationship, even going so far as to tease them. Arthit would shoot glares at them before smiling immediately afterward knowing the teasing was in good fun.
"P'Arthit, do you think the other students besides your friends have caught onto the fact we are dating?"
Arthit stops with his hands' mid fluff on the pillow and looks at Kongpob, "Whether or not they have, it isn't any of their business."
Kongpob's gaze lowers as does his voice, "Are you hoping they will not notice?"
Arthit immediately notices the change in demeanor and walks over to kneel in front of the younger, "Kongpob, we have talked about this. We even discussed it with Dr. Yuvaves and Dr. Suttirat at your last appointment. There is no reason to draw attention to our relationship as long as we are safe and happy. You-" Arthit trails off for a moment before continuing, not bothering to hide the worry in his voice, "You are happy with me, right?"
"Yes!" Kongpob says a little too loudly before slapping his hand over his mouth, "Yes, I am. I'm just worried that if our relationship is frowned upon by whoever is trying to keep me away from you I-"
Arthit leans in, pressing his lips gently to Kongpob's silencing the rest of the statement, "Kongpob, I told you I wanted to date you because I am not going to let those bastards think they have won," He reaches for the younger man's hand and begins to gently trace his thumb along Kongpob's knuckles.
Kongpob chuckles and Arthit notices a watery tone to the sound, "Thank you P'Arthit. I think I needed to hear that." He reaches down for Arthit's hand and brings it to his lips kissing the pad of Arthit's thumb gently, "I just wish things would stay okay with no worries, even if," He trails off before taking a deep breath, "Even if it means never getting my memories back."
Arthit grows tense at this statement, "I am going to be selfish in saying a small part of me wishes you won't get your memories back because if you do you might see me in a different light, a negative light."
Kongpob does not hesitate as he pulls Arthit into his arms, causing the older to rest his head against Kongpob's chest, "P'Arthit, I may not have all of the memories, but one thing I do know is that my feelings were like this before the incident. That I can tell. From what I have learned and what you have told me, I did like you back then and I still do. Whether or not I get my memories back, it won't matter. As long as you want me, I plan to stay with you."
Arthit lets out a sigh of relief, almost as if a burden has been lifted from his shoulders, "Thank you, Kongpob, I think I needed to hear that." He slowly pulls himself away from the younger's embrace, "Now finish up so we can eat."
"A date?" Kongpob queries.
Arthit rolls his eyes, "Only you would say breakfast is a date,"
Kongpob only smiles in return before looking back at the notebook. Dr. Suttirat, a recommendation by Dr. Yuvaves had suggested to Kongpob to write down all the details he could recall from his dreams and anything that he thought maybe were memories coming back. It had been almost a week and a half since his last appointment and the same amount of time had passed since they had started dating. Arthit's friends knew about their relationship but Kongpob's did not know. At least he didn't think so. Even though he had grown to like his friends again, vaguely remembering Em, from the past before University, He still was not sure how they would react to his relationship with Arthit. He also knew it would be a shock for Mae who was still being insistent. It was getting to the point where he just wanted to kiss Arthit in front of her to get her to shut up. But he was too kind-hearted to do it.
"You're spacing out," Arthit says popping him gently on his nose, "Are you doing yet?"
Kongpob scans his writing before nodding, "P'Arthit, before we start with my quizzing could we go over this? I think I will feel better and more prepared if we get this out of the way."
Arthit nods, "If you think it will help then sure that should not be a problem."
With a satisfied smile, Kongpob closes up his notebook and moves to grab his wallet out of habit, "P'Arthit, do you think we can go somewhere off campus grounds today for breakfast?"
Arthit grabs his own wallet as well as his copy of the key to the room and shrugs before pocketing his phone as well, "I don't see why not. Do you have a preference?"
Kongpob shakes his head, "Not really, I'm just getting a little tired of the same thing."
"Fair enough," Arthit concedes, "Why don't we try something new," He pulls his phone back out from his pocket and does a quick search for nearby newly or recently opened restaurants. After scrolling down Kongpob voices his opinion and they both nod in unison.
Kongpob looks down at his now clean plate and smiles across the table at his dining companion, "That was delicious. I wish we had found this place sooner."
Arthit can't help but agree. The food was satisfying the atmosphere was quite enjoyable. And yet, Arthit finds he can't keep himself from glancing around. He knows Kongpob is aware of it and although he's not trying to hide it, Arthit is not trying to draw attention to his actions either, "Are you finished?" He asks, hoping Kongpob's answer is yes.
Kongpob nods, "P'Arthit, do you think it would be okay if we took the long way back to campus? I think the weather is going to be cooperative today and since we plan on staying in the rest of the weekend, we might as well enjoy it while we can."
Arthit allows his paranoia to be shelved as he throws his boyfriend a smirk, "You're just trying to get out of studying,"
Kongpob rubs the back of his neck sheepishly, "Am I that transparent?"
"Not all the time," Arthit responds, "But in this case, yes." When he sees the puppy-eyed look on Kongpob's face he can't help but smile, "But it is one of the things I admire in you. You keep me on my toes,"
"I figured my whole situation would be enough to keep you on your toes," Kongpob responds.
"Oh believe me it does, but it's not the only thing." Arthit stretches his arms up and tilts his head to the side moaning lightly when he hears his neck crack.
"You're still doing that?"
Arthit freezes at the voice and the color from his face noticeably drains, "Oh no."
A/N: Okay, question guys. Who do you think it is? Please let me know in the comments and please let me know if you'd like me to continue! As always 3 comments = new chapter! Thank you all again for your patience and remember to stay strong and Love Yourself.
