"He's kinda my size,
Don't look back cause he's looking."It was taking everything in Briella to not make a sound. Briella and Calum were sitting beside each other in Chemistry as usual, only this time they weren't so focused.
Briella couldn't hold it in any longer as she took one look at those dark brown eyes grinning at her own, making her burst out in laughter, him doing the same.
"Briella and Calum, keep the noise down!" A harsh voice from the front of the classroom snapped at the pair, making Briella look up to make eye contact with Mr Floods eyes which raged in annoyance. She quickly flashed an innocent smile to him, forcing his right eye to twitch ever so slightly at the audacious action Briella just so happened to perform at really bad timing.
Turning around quickly at his reaction, Briella tore her gaze away from Mr Flood and soon noticed all the frozen stares placed on Calum and herself, all mixed with either irritation or confusion, making Briella sink lower into her seat, trying to hide from everyone in embarassment.
Suddenly, she felt a hand reach out, poking at her side, resulting in her squirming in her seat as she burst out laughing once again.
Immediately Mr Flood snapped up, "Briella!"
Briella shrunk lower, instantly slapping a hand over her mouth, muffling out the constant laugher that she so wished would end and picking up a pen with her free hand– as if she was doing something productive.
She glared over at the boy beside her who sat there innocently as if he hadn't done a thing to her. He raised his hands in a defensive motion as she increased her stare towards him.
Finally after a couple of minutes, Mr Flood went back to marking his papers and the rest of the class continued the work they were assigned to do.
"Calum!" Immediately, since everyone was distracted, Briella turned to her side and reached out to slap Calum lightly on the arm, scolding him– quietly of course– with her icy glare as he did nothing but laugh silently in return.
They held eye contact for at least 5 seconds, trying to mask on a serious face. But of course, Calum had to bite down on his bottom lip as it quivered, struggling to hold back another round of the infectious noise.
The pair seemed to last another 2 seconds at minimum before they were doubling over once again– for absolutely no reason–, in return resulting in a few annoyed scowls from the rest of the class— teacher included.

20 minutes passed by and the partners still seemed to be attempting to hide their laughter through their palms as they sat 5 seats apart, due to Mr Flood being fed up with them.
Out of the corner of her eye, Briella could just see Mr Flood sitting at his table, disappointment filling his eyes, probably regretting ever making them lab partners.
Briella's eyes traveled around the room once more only to be met with Calums chocolate eyes at the other side of the room, and of course; you can probably imagine what happens next.
"Alright! That's it, if you can't be serious in this class then you might as well take it elsewhere."
Briella and Calums eyes widened for a split second at the teachers reaction. But instead of feeling guilt of any sort, they shrugged their shoulders nonchalantly and happily slid out of their seats, strolling over to meet at the front door. Briella didn't look back once, too afraid to see the look on Mr Floods face as they walked away calmly.
"Ladies first," Calum opened the door wide, bowing at Briella. She rolled her eyes in response but joyously skipped outside as if this were some type of fairytale. Calum flashed a cheeky smile to the entire class– who looked quite amused in all honesty– before heading out of the class himself.
As soon as the door shut behind them, they erupted in giggles once again. Briella placed her palms on her knees as she bent down slightly. "What are we even laughing at?!"
Calum shook his head, "no idea!"
And that seemed to make it all the more funnier. Briella randomly rammed herself into Calum's chest as he welcomed her with open arms, wrapping them around her petite body as they both laughed for no reason at all, their bodies vibrating against eachother.
Eventually the laughter actually died down and they somehow managed to move away from the class room door a couple of meters. "Calum?"
He looked down at her; having to do so because she was still in his arms. "Yes Brie?"
"I still don't believe you." Briella didn't need to elaborate any further, Calum understood what she meant. His heart sped up for a quick second listening to her words but he replied nonetheless, "what'll make you believe me?"
Briella kept silent for a moment, racking through her brain for an answer, "tell me something about him." She knew he wouldn't tell her who he was– she'd completely given up on that, so instead she asked something that could possibly help with it.
"He's kinda my size,"
Instantly Briella felt herself roll her eyes, that was the most useless piece of information he could've given me! It wouldn't help through her search at all. But before Briella even had the chance to tell him off or annoy him for it, the school bell rang, signaling the end of the school day.
Students came running out of the classes, crowding the halls immediately. Briella and Calum stayed put near a wall, waiting for the students to go home and the halls to clear.
He continued, obviously eyeing something behind her, "don't look back cause he's looking." In a flash, Briella shifted and snapped her neck to look behind her. Once again, this information was useless, there were tones of students littering the place.
Rolling her eyes at Calum and the nonsense that flew out of his mouth, she grabbed ahold of his hand, dragging him out of the school building to make their way back to her house once most of the students fled from the halls too.
As soon as their feet hit the pavement which lead to Briella's house, she let go of his fingers and turned around to look back at Calum, carefully walking backwards. "You're annoying, you know that?" Arms crossed over her chest as she stared at the boy.
Calum placed his hands in his front pockets as an amused smile placed itself on his lips, "and why is that?"
"Because you tell me someone likes me yet you won't tell me who!"
He shrugged in response, looking down at his feet, in fear that if he looked deep into her eyes, he'd end up somehow breaking and tell her the truth.
