                   ::Sin's POV::

    The feeling of being shaking by my shoulder wakes me up. The time on my clock is the first thing that catches my attention; I've only been asleep for two hours. I'm angry until I see Davina hovering over me with a worried expression.
    I shoot up, forcing myself to wake up. "What's wrong?" I ask. She grabs my hand and pulls me out of bed. The one thing that runs through my head is that something has happened to Emmy and I start to panic. Taking out hand out of hers, I run down the hall to the living area where she's always is at this time watching television.
    "Where is Emmy?" I ask in panic once I see she isn't sitting on the couch. Davina cups my face in her small hands, forcing me to look inro her eyes.
    "She's fine, Sin," she tells me. My heart rate immediately slows down at her words. "She's in her room, playing with dolls. Kole is making sure she isn't coming out-"
    "What, why? Why can't she come out if her room? What happened?" I ask. I knew I shouldn't of taken a nap. It's not that I don't trust Davina with my daughter, cause I do, but I don't trust others.
    "I was outside with her at her playset, and she jumped off the swing and I went to where she landed and there was a gun," she says. My brows furrow. "I knew it couldn't of been one your guy's, cause you wouldn't leave something like that down where she could get ahold of it."
  I rush to the screenshot and yank it open a little too harsh. I jog to where the wings are and look down at the gun. I kneel down and look down at the gun that's been planted.
    "Hand me those gloves," I tell Davina, pointing to where the gardening gloves are. She gets up and goes to give them. I put only one on once she hands them to me and pick the gun up, examining it. "This isn't even a brand we use," I say to myself.
   I get up and follow her back inside. "Marcus!" I yell as loud as I can. Davina jumps at the loudness. "Sorry."
   "It's fine, I'm going to check on Emmy," she says and runs down the hall. Marcus comes down the opposite hall she just left to. His eyes widen at the sight of the guns in my hand.
    "Is a gun a new gardening tool?" He asks, gesturing to my gloves. I give him the other glove for him to put on and hand him the gun so his fingerprints can't be traced on it just in case. "What's this about?"
    "Davina found it in the backyard laying the grass. We don't use that brand," I say. He looks down at it, twisting it side to side.
    "I don't know who uses this brand, but I can look into it," he says. I nod, taking the glove off.
    "Okay."  I walk to Emmy's room, upset about the situation. It's not even safe for her to play in her own backyard. Everything I do is to keep her safe, but it's not enough.
    Davina sits on Emmy's small princess bed with her head on her lap as she reads to her. They both look at complete peace, Emmy almost looking like she's about to fall asleep. Davina plays with some strands of her hair with her free hand.
   I knock softly on the door, making then both look my way. "Daddy!" Emmy says, getting up and running to me. I pick her up and kiss her cheek.
    "You look tired, princesa," I say. She nods, nuzzling her face in my tattooed neck. I lay down next to where Davina is with Emmy on me, half asleep. "You can continue reading."
    She rests her head on my shoulder and starts reading from where she left off. The sound her voice relaxes me, making me nearly asleep again. It's only the afternoon, but could all use more sleep for an hour or two.
    Eventually, I start to drift off, not thinking about what's going on with the gun or with the Smith's; just about laying down with my daughter and Davina. At complete peace.
