::Sin's POV::I stare outside the screen door to the backyard to watch Emmy swing back and forth on the playground. Lately, I've been drowning myself in work, truing to get to the bottom of things. I haven't been a great father lately. My train of thought that has always been that I have to look at being a great parent as more then just putting a roof over her head and food in her mouth, but recently, that has changed.
The feeling of someone wrapping their arms around me from behind and resting their head on my shoulder makes me jump a little. The scent of Davina's perfume makes me smile and turn around. I haven't been a good boyfriend either.
She's been sleeping in her original room since I'm up until very late hours of the night working; so there no use in waiting. I honestly can't remember the last time I actually kissed her.
"You're so beautiful," I tell her. She blushes, looking away. I tilt her chin up and grin down at her. Her eyes at shining more than usual and her smile seems more genuine. She's been in much lighter spirits since she seen her brother.
I understand how risky of a situation that was, but I needed to do something nice for her. She had been under so much stress of not knowing anything and borderline depression from missing her brother, that I had to do something.
Part of me didn't seeing the huge deal was cause I never had an actual family. My family was this gang. My parents were always more bosses than anything. I didn't even cry at my own father's funeral. It was only like loosing a business partner, but knowing you could do better without them. It sounds harsh, but it's the truth.
"You look exhausted," Davina tells me, brushing my hair back. My grin turns into a shy smile. "You need sleep. You've hardly been getting any of that." I shrug, taking her hands in mind.
"That's fine," I tell her. "I have to get work done before shit falls apart out of nowhere. " She runs her hands through my hair that's long die for a hair cut.
"Please get some sleep," she says. "I can help Emmy with her homework and make dinner." I'm thankful for her offer, but also will feel bad if she foes all of that.
"No it's fine. I promised Emmy I would play with her outside when she gets home," I tell her. She sighs, shaking her head.
"You're no use to her when you're like this," she says. Usually I would be kissed that someone is telling me what to do, but she's only trying to make sure I'm taking care if myself and watching out for my daughter.
"I know, but-"
"I will take care of everything and I'm sure she'll understand. She'll have a good time with me," she says. I nod, closing my burning eyes for a second. "I'll wake you for dinner."
"Thank you," I say before I turn to walk out.
"Welcome."

::Davina's POV::Emmy runs into the house with Kole close behind her. She smiles brightly up at me, hugging my legs. I laugh at her actions, messing her hair up a little. "Where's daddy? He said he play with me."
Kole waits for me to answer, curious as well. "He's sleeping right now. He's really really tired, but you and I can have all the fun in the world today. We can go play on your playground and you van even help me make dinner," I tell her. She jumps up and down happily, clapping her hands together. She's so freaking adorable. "Go change your clothes and we can go outside," I tell her.
Immediately, she takes off running down the hall. Kole chuckles, smiling in the direction she went. "In surprised by the power you seem to have over that man. He wouldn't listen to any of us if we ever told him to sleep. He would beat or asses," he tells me.
"How do you know I had anything to do with it? Maybe he decided he finally needed some sleep," I say, crossing my arms playfully. He rolls his eyes.
"Cause he's the type that work will be the death of him. When he needs to get work done he never stops until he's done," he explains. "Have a good day with Emmy."
Emmy runs back down the hall dressed in more casual clothing. I'm honestly surprised she's allowed to go to an actual preschool. "Let's go," I say, taking her hand and letting her pull me to the back yard. She immediately gets on one of the swings and starts swinging back and forth.
She giggles happily, jumping off when she gets high enough. "Davvy?" She asks, stopping where she landed and looking at the ground. I look walk over to where she is and look at the only spot with no grass.
A gun lays in the small, uncovered hole. "Run and get Kole."AN: I apologize for another delay. I'm just not feeling this story anymore like I was before, but refused to just cancel it. Please check out my other stories, comment, vote, and share! Believe in yourself -Vaeh
