Chapter 4

Namjoon closes his mouth and shakes his head. Jimin nods, "That's fine. Whatever, we can just do what we always do."

"I'm sorry, Jimin. I just don't want you to get involved with my personal vendetta," Namjoon replies.

Jimin sighs, "I'm involved whether you like it or not, hyung. He's my father too. And, you're my brother. If you want to hunt him down, I definitely play some part in your whole revenge scheme."

"Jimin...." Namjoon mutters.

Jimin huffs, "Namjoon hyung, I know you want to protect me. You don't have to worry though. I am more than capable of taking care of myself. I want to be involved in this. Just let me help you, if we ever run into dad."

"We'll cross that road when we come to it. If we come to it. Let's finish packing. The purge is going to start soon," Namjoon says standing back up. Jimin nods his head and continues to pack up his items. Namjoon does the same. He stands up and grabs two black jackets from the closet. He tosses one to Jimin and puts the other one on. Jimin gives him a small smile and slips into the jacket. The brothers toss their bags over their shoulders and slip the hoods over their heads. They never wear masks, they don't normally get bothered during purge night. They both make their way outside. Namjoon locks the door behind them. Jimin stares at the floor, waiting for the alarm to sound. Namjoon places his hand on Jimin's shoulder, "Love you, and be careful, okay."

Jimin nods, "Love you too, hyung. Same for you, be safe." Suddenly, an alarm starts to go off. There is a loud crackle before an announcement begins to play, "This is not a test.....this is your Emergency Broadcast System announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge." Jimin and Namjoon look at one another before taking off in the same direction.

Jin shakes his head, "No. We are going to stay inside, where it is safe. I don't care if you want to go out. I'm your elder, you will listen. Please, don't fight me on this."

"Alright, hyung. We'll stay inside," Jungkook says.

Jin nods, "I'm sorry for making you do this Jungkook. And you as well, Yoongi."

"It's fine, hyung. It's not that important for me to go out," Yoongi states.

Jungkook nods, "Yoongi hyung's right. I don't care about the purge that much. I care more about what you want. I'm willing to put your wants over mine any day."

Jin smiles, "Thank you. I really appreciated this. For being so understanding and alright about it all." Yoongi and Jungkook both nod their heads. "We should double check that the house is all boarded up," Jin says. The other two nod their heads. "I'll check the back of the house," Jungkook says standing and heading to the back.

"I got the front," Yoongi mutters as he walks to the front door.

Jin nods, "I'll make sure we have first aid kits and anything else we may need..." When they finish double checking the house, they make their way back to the living room. Yoongi glances down at his watch, "Should start going off any second now...." They all glance at the window, waiting for the announcement to sound. The alarm begins to ring, "This is not a test. This is your Emergency Broadcast System announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge..."
