Night of Sin: BTS AU ✓

Chapter 33

It's here. The final chapter. Ahhhhh! I can't believe it. We've come so far. I just want to thank you all for supporting me and this book until the very end. I'll get sappier and stuff in the ending author's note. I'm so excited and also sentimental to get into this last chapter. Let's get into it.

Namjoon groans as his head pounds and his eyes slowly crack open. He winces as the light assaults his eyes and squints. "Hyung?" Jimin says in a seat beside his brother. Namjoon slowly turns his head to the left and his eyes widen as he sees Jimin garbed in a hospital gown. Jin and Jungkook are on his other side watching with wide eyes. Taehyung is standing behind Jimin with a hand on the man's back. Hoseok is at the foot of his bed and Yoongi sits at the edge of it. "What happened?" Namjoon asks, his head feeling too heavy for him to lift.

"The bomb went off," Jimin says, "We got caught in it." Namjoon slowly nods, remembering raiding the RAGE base and the final safeguard, which was the bomb. "Did everyone else get out?" Namjoon questions.

Jungkook nods, "We're all safe."

"The RAGE?" Namjoon asks.

"Down for the count," Taehyung says, "We did it. Wiped them completely out."

"You're all a nut jobs," Yoongi mutters, "You, your brother and your crazy gangster cousins. Why would you close yourselves off in the same room where a bomb is?!"

"I've explained it before. We didn't have a choice," Jimin says, "It's okay. We all survived."

"Yeah, barely," Yoongi scoffs, "They haven't all woken up and you still all have some recovering to do." Jimin falls silent and his lips purse, knowing that the civvies words are true. Namjoon notices and frowns, he's awake and so is Jimin. But, what about his cousins. "Are the others okay?" Namjoon asks, wondering about the conditions of his family, "Are you alright, Minnie?"

"I'm fine. I didn't get hit that hard, which is a miracle," Jimin answers, "I was one of the first to wake up. Channie and Seokmin are up as well. Wonho woke up a little bit before you did, he's resting right now."

"What about the other two? Nyoungie? Hoonie?" Namjoon asks. Jimin sighs and looks behind him. Namjoon gaze filters across the room, noticing for the first time that there's a lot more people in the room. Wonho is sleeping on a bed right next to Namjoon and across from him are his other two cousins. Jinyoung's eyes are sealed shut and he has a bandage covering his cheek. Jaebum sits at his side, gripping onto his hand. The other Got7 members surround the bed, staring at the sleeping man. Jihoon is next to Jinyoung, the sound of a heart monitor beeping monotonously. Seungcheol's gaze is fixed on Jihoon and his hands are clenched in tight fists. Chan has tears in his eyes and he lays in the bed next to Jihoon, his arms carefully wrapped around his hyung. Seokmin sits on a chair at the foot of the bed, tears pouring from his eyes that he doesn't even bother to wipe away. "They got hit the worst," Jimin says, "Jinyoung got pierced in the lung and Jihoon in the heart. Jinyoung went through surgey and it was successful. He's been strapped up to a breather, but he hasn't woken up yet. Jihoon flatlined a couple of times already. He's been touch and go since we got here. The doctor's don't know when he'll wake up..." Namjoon eyes his injured cousins, worried for their well-being. He can only imagine how Seokmin and Chan are holding up. Jihoon is their older brother. Not to mention, Seungcheol and Jaebum. Both of them look like they have been by the sides of their partners for hours. He could only imagine the war of fear and worry tormenting them at the moment. "He'll be okay," Namjoon mutters, "They'll both be..."

Jimin turns to face his brother again, "Yeah, they're mafia. They're strong. I'm sure they'll wake up before the end of the day..." Namjoon nods his head, knowing that his cousins would recover. They may not look their best now, but they will. They've been through worse. This is nothing. They'll be back at it in no time. "How are you feeling?" Hoseok asks.

Namjoon sighs, "Honestly, pretty weak..."

"You should get some more sleep," Jin says.

Jimin nods in agreement, "You should, hyung."

"Can I talk to you first?" Namjoon asks.

"Hyung..." Jimin says.

"It won't take long. I promise I'll rest after that," Namjoon says.

Jimin wrinkles his nose, "Fine. Guys...can you give us some space." The five nod and slowly walk towards the exit. Jimin looks to Namjoon, "What did you want to talk about?"

"I've been thinking..." Namjoon says, "Grandfather's been wanting us to come back and I feel like deep down the two of us have wanted nothing more but then to do exactly that. I know we said that after this we would be done, but do you want that? Cause...honestly I don't..."

"What are you saying, hyung? Do you want to go back to the mafia?" Jimin asks. Namjoon nods. "B-but, what about mom?" Jimin asks.

Namjoon shrugs, "We left because she wanted us to have a normal life, but our normal is with the mafia. I don't know...it's never felt right after we gave it up. Being here...even though it's at a hospital where we're all injured, it feels right. Don't you feel that?"

"I...I don't know," Jimin says, "These people are my family...but mom....I don't want to disappoint her."

"I don't think she could ever really be disappointed in us," Namjoon says, "But, if you don't want to go back, I won't either." Jimin purses his lips, considering it. He doesn't think he can walk away as easy as he did the first time. "Let's stick around," Jimin says with a small smile, "They'll probably need us anyway."

Namjoon grins, "Grandpa will be happy."

"Yeah, he will," Jimin says, "Now get some rest. The mafia and our friends and everyone will be here waiting when you wake up." Namjoon nods and shifts a little. Jimin tugs the blanket over him as a loud alarm starts blaring. "Hm, the night's finally over," Jimin says. Namjoon smiles before letting his eyes fall shut.

And, the end. Wow. It's been a little over two years since I started this story and it's finally complete. I want to thank all of my readers and everyone who has commented, voted, and supported this book. You've been my motivation to keep this story going and a lot of what has happened is thanks to the choices you made at every chapter. This book wouldn't be the same without you all and I hope you know how much I appreciate you. This book has been a wild journey and I hope that you've enjoyed it as much as I had. As you can see, the ending definitely is open-ended and can be built on. I've mentioned before in previous chapters that I want to make spin-offs about the other mafia units, so let me know if you want to see that.
