It was October 25 and your family was currently moving into a new town. Haddonfield, Illinois to be exact. You've heard a lot about this small town. Some good things and some bad. Before moving away from your old neighborhood, people told you horror stories that occurred in Haddonfield. One of which included a character named Michael Myers. People have told you that on Halloween night, he awakens. Of course, you believed these stories. They were always all over the news channels.
You finally finished unpacking all of your belongings out of the cardboard boxes and placed everything in your room neatly. You had the only bedroom downstairs, so it was very peaceful on the lower level of the house. Your parents shared a room upstairs and you had no siblings. Most times, your parents didn't acknowledge you and you didn't acknowledge them. It was as if you didn't even know each other. But you liked it that way. They never cared about what you did. They never cared how late you stayed awake at night, where you were, or how you acted. But you still tended to be a good kid even though there was no parenting or rules.
You sighed and flopped on your bed. You loved your new house. Although, you didn't love the fact that you now had to attend a new high school. You didn't know any of the students and you knew that since it was almost Halloween, they'd all be paranoid about Michael Myers.
Or would they? They shouldn't be talking about Michael because he is locked up. He's taken care of. That is what everyone has been told, at least. But everyone knew that before Halloween, he always escapes. So, maybe people would still be talking about him after all.
It was already 8:24PM and it was a school night, so you knew you shouldn't stay up too late. After all, you wanted to wake up earlier than you normally would to look nice for school. Tomorrow was going to be your first day at your new high school. You were nervous, but a little excited. You were excited to hear all of the juicy information about your new city. You wanted to learn more. But about what exactly? Michael Myers, of course.
