"Kol, what could possibly be so incredibly important I've been isolated from my room for the entirety of a day?" I ask with a laugh once he had finally announced I was allowed to enter my room once more.

"Why your gift of course." He smiles once we had finally arrived in front of our shared room whilst blocking the entryway.

"Gift?" I ask with a lifted brow unsuccessfully trying to contain my smile.

"It is the holidays dear." He smirks with a wink as he opens the door wide making my face light up. I look around to find the bedroom completely redecorated in the classical Victorian manner I so love in a deep royal red in the most lavish way I've seen.

"I-I have no words." I marvel at him now at the center of the room trying to take it all in.

"Perhaps more than words are in order." He suggests in his usual flirtatious manner, not that I mind. I would, however, prefer that attitude was a tad more exclusive.

"Well, well what do we have here." I hear a familiar voice I have heard a lot less than preferred as of late.

"Marcel." I breathe out with a smile as I throw my arms around the newly arrived vampire who had decide to sneak up on Kol and I.

"Marcellous what may you be doing here," Kol deadpans coldly.

"They sent some soldiers home for the holidays, pray to tell why may you be outside of your coffin? Vera, I suggest you take a step back." Marcel's expressions turn stern as he places a protective arm between me and the original.

"And what cause might've you been fighting for? Another grudge for not being able to take a joke?" Kol narrows his eyes taking a step forward.

"After so many years and still not a lesson to be learned, huh? Someone should take you back to your confinement then." Marcel threatened also getting closer

"Enough!" I command trying to stop a fight of the ego. "For centuries old vampires you both act so childishly, now put whatever this feud may be aside at once as it is the holidays and one way or another we're family," I command not feeling like drowning in tension and aggressiveness the same day as such a beautiful celebration.

"Then it's settled, now I believe I was in the midst of something." Kol drives my attention back to the greatly remodeled room.

"I don't think so, Vera, Rebekah requests your presence in her room," Marcel tells not removing his gaze from Kol.

"Of course she does. Now when I come back neither of you better have your heads on wrong, in other words, try to get along if not for me then for the spirit of the holidays." I lecture feeling like a mother with her toddlers when I finally decide to get going to Rebekah's room.

"Vera darling! Are you ready for our preparations?" Rebekah asks excitedly while throwing on some pink cheek tint.

"Why of course." I smile while taking in the jewelry she had spread out to later be admired on us.

"Good because I am simply in awe of these new dresses in style! They are so simplistic yet breathtaking, almost as if they are to increase your beauty without taking the attention from the rest of you." Rebekah gushes holding the new fit in her arms.

"Oh poor Bex whatever did you do before me? I somehow doubt Niklaus would've put up with your nonsensical gushing of the revolutionary dress fit." I laugh while myself taking in the simple dress' beauty "Though I must say this is hardly a simple dress."
