What inspired your book:
What inspired this story was a culmination of ideas and concepts that I wanted to create and some personal fears that I had been trying to overcome at the time. It was written at a time where I was in a very dark place and wanted to be able to channel everything that I was feeling at the time into a character that not only questioned the madness of it all but also still held a connection to the reality in which he was in. The quick pacing and transition in time helped to further spur the feeling of madness and fear that we often face when we feel that we do not have control over our lives and feel that everything is slipping by us as we become slaves to those we perceive have power over us. The different conflicting elements were meant to not only inspire fear but to force people to question as I did, whether or not we have control over our own lives and what we should do to avoid falling victim to the beast within our own mind.

Who inspires you the most when it comes to writing:
That would be Stephen King, Ellen Hopkins, Edgar Allen Poe, and my best friend, who inspired me to become an author in the first place.

What do you like to read/write the most:
I like to read books that have a dark but realistic tone that present a sense of urgency and an end goal of the pursuit of success. As for myself, I prefer to write about stories in terms of what emotions I am able to derive out of the concept itself and what message I can leave behind for my readers.

How do you feel about winning:
I was honestly rather shocked that my story won, especially considering that I had made plans to not enter in the first place, but was convinced to do so anyway. I congratulate those who participated and enjoyed some of the other entries that were submitted alongside mine.

Will you be entering Fallen Angel Awards 2019:
Nothing is guaranteed, but I will most likely be entering in next year's Fallen Angel Awards competition.
