The next day began the long and painful training period but little did we know it was a selection period where we were observed and ranked on who was the best of us. I woke to Rachel smacking my feet. What Rachel is something happening I said because it was still lights out. All she said was follow me and ran out a door so I followed her. From a military stand point it was a bad decision but from human stand point it was the best decision because Rachel was the bestest of friends I had. She lead me to a window of the ship and out the was a lovely looking planet below. I always love to watch the beauty of nature and space she said. That seemed pretty ironic since she seemed so not into nature. I used watch it with my parents all day. Dad would tell stories and mom would make us dinner. I miss my family. How about you Tuck how's your family. But before I could answer freelance officers saw us and drug us back to our bunks. So our first day was shifted into maximum overdrive for insolence boy did we get the death stares. The first part of our training was obstacles. When I started a hallucination of my parents appeared and told me I wasn't good and it drove me to prove them wrong boy was that a mistake. Rachel was also a competitive person so we try beat each other. I raced through the bars over the beams over the walls and up the rope and back down but she still beat me. This began a part of our friendship to out best each other. Next was weapon training. I have to admit it was scary at first, since I'm just 10, but the more I did it the better I got. It was the only thing I was better at. I would soon master all weapons. After that came lunch and but more training then we were off to bed.
