The new squad

They told me the training was not needed since my combat record was already at peak level. The full augmentation wasn't done because I guess we had been slowly injected the stuff over a several year period in boot camp the copy cats. I did meet some cool fresh spartan recruits though, their names were Tim, Stacey, and Sun. I was more so close to Sun. Almost like the brother I never had. Tim and Stacey seemed more than just friends.

So Tuck you ever gonna tell us about your time as a freelancer said Tim.

Yeah Tuck how about it said Stacey.

I'm sure it is an exuberant story but now we need to focus on our priorities said Sun. Sun was 3 years younger than me making him 27. Tim and Stacey are both 22. Stacey seems like a good person and a good soldier. Tim seems a little over confident he also could be shown a thing or two. I had been stationed on the forge of steel a heavy UNSC battleship under the command of Captain Dawson and General Mason. Sun, Tim, and Stacey were all part of my squad. We were on a mission on the planet Venus in the earth solar system. We were to eliminate covenant forces in a major venusian city know as Valeburg. Were also to rescue a high value target or the general's son. The covenant had kidnapped him for interrogation. We moved swiftly through the streets taking out all the covenant we saw. Brute chieftains put a challenge but were still passable. We found our target and brought him back to the evacuation zone when I heard a ping..beep.. Lt. Levall when you make it back to the ship your are needed immediately on the bridge. I began to wonder what was so important that I was needed immediately.
