Roller coaster 🎢 ~ (Tom Delonge) [Discontinued!]

C H A P T E R T H R E E

Today I got up before my alarm and quite frankly I wasn't so sure if I'm impressed that I got up or if I was mad. I looked out of my window to see the sun peaking it's way through my curtains. I took a glance around my room, I still had a ton of unpacking to do but I shrugged it off. I started to get ready for my first day of hell. Whoops I meant school, yes of course... The only thing that made me excited was that I'd  be seeing Tom again today and hopefully we'd get to hang out more. I got dressed in a regular black and red flannel with blue skinny jeans. I did all of my necessary makeup and was ready to head out with my skateboard when my mom called out to me,

"Have fun sweetie."

"Will do mom I'll see you later, love you!" I hollered.

I skate down the road with my backpack slung on my back and I was on my way. On the way I met some kid waiting at the bus stop I was going to take. He looked about my age and had this weird spiked up hair style.

"You waiting for the bus?" I inquired

"Nah, I'm waiting to get a hotdog.."

he replied and laughed off his own joke. What a nerd. I soon came to learn that his name was Mark Hoppus and that we actually have a ton in common. He also has a pretty great sense of humor. As we kept talking about nonsense we eventually came to talk about music. Mark had told me that he plays the bass himself when I brought up The Cure.

"So like, what high school do you go to Mark?" I poked his shoulder

He pondered for a second and started to swat my hand away,

"Rivercrest."

"Cool.."
I basically acted like I knew where that was.  After that banter ended I came to my stop,

"I see you around Hoppus."

"See ya (y/n)." He waved me goodbye and fake pouted.

I skate over to the front of the school and from the crowd I spot a familiar 6'4 human with a blue hat on. I smile as I instantly knew who it was and started making my way towards him. I tap his shoulder which caused him to whip around and look around until he looked down at me. He smirked, 

"Jesus, you're short."

I placed my hand above my chest as I was hurt by his comment,

"Fuck you Tom, you're just way to damn tall."

He started chuckling and told me to follow him. He basically gave me a tour around and with actual honesty I'm think I'm going to like it here, if Tom is here. While we were walking to the main office I kept getting a lot of stares, I've never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Do people actually see me for once or will I be invisible again? Who knows, god knows I sure don't.
I got my schedule and Tom peered at it for a second.

"Score dude, we got a couple of classes together."

I look at him and smile. At least I won't be as lonely... To say the least, everything went smoothly until about lunch time. I was walking towards the cafeteria since Tom got held back from our Science class. I'm sure they were talking about the fact that Tom started spewing out stuff about alien life and how the government is a piece of shit. It was actually pretty funny, I was giggling from the thought of it. I turned around the corner when I was faced with a group of girls. I came to a stop in confusion, I tried to walk around them but I was stopped when I moved. At this point I was just mad.

"Can I help you?"
I said this in a rude tone and kept eye contact with the blonde girl in the middle. I assumed she was the 'leader'.

"Actually yeah you can, stay away from Tom. " she spat "He's mine."

"Alright, you look here, what gives you the right to say that kind of shit? You own him or somthin'?"

She started laughing at me.

"You better watch yourself." She said. I could feel the poison in her tone.

With that she sauntered off with her posse down the hall. I saw Tom walking in the hallway and when I made eye contact with him he jogged down the hall. He was stopped when the blonde bimbo whispered in his ear and was putting her hand on his chest. It made me sick, like the bad kind of butterflies. Tom looked genuinely disgusted and swatted her hand away and walked next to me.

"Heya shortstack."
Tom smiled down at me which made me smile. It was contagious, I swear.

"Heya big bird."
I started giggling like a little schoolgirl. And I internally yelled at myself.

"Ouchie, (y/n) my ego."

Tom pouted at me which made my giggles abrupt into laughter.
Later on in the day, I found out the blonde girl that had stopped me earlier was named April (I didn't want to use Jennifer just because she's a nice woman). I never seen her after that incident in the hallway, which I'm glad of. It was eventually time to go home which means freedom! I walked home with Tom today. I loved our talks we had when walked together. I brought up with what happened in science class which ended up in persuasive banter about how aliens exist. Of course being a nice person, I listened to him and he looked surprised when I look genuinely interested in his nonsense. He smiled and stared at me. I can feel him staring at me which caused me to look at him.

"Somethin' wrong Delonge?"

"It's nothing, it's just you actually listen to me and I appreciate that (y/n)."

He seemed content with himself which made me happy.

"Well whenever you wanna talk about some aliens and extraterrestrial life I'm here Tom."

He smiled down at me. We stayed in comfortable silence from then on.
