The air was clear and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
There was a nice breeze that passed by the meadow.
The cold wind touched Tom's cheek and Tom sat up.
His eyes squinted as he felt the Sun's rays shine right on his eyes. He immediately felt disoriented.
As his eyes adjusted, Tom's eyes opened wide as he looked around his surroundings.
A sudden rush of air filled his lungs and the faint smell is wet grass filled his nose.
He sat in the middle of a tall grass field and the mountains that surrounded him.
Tom started breathing heavily as he wiped the dirt off his hands.
Tom dusted the dirt off of his shoulders too and stood up.
He took another glance around and in the back of his head, he knew he recognized this field...
He took (y/n) that one night they were caught drinking under the bleachers, she looked so peaceful then...
A sudden rush of unwanted memories flooded his head, painful memories he just wanted to forget at the moment.
He remembered when they both went running around the field and acted like fools, he remembered when he felt her soft lips on his, he remembered how her hair smelled like lavender and a mix of spring rain that day.
He remembered her soft eyes as she stared in adoration as they both spun around the field.
He remembered every little thing about her.
The freckles that decorated her face when she didn't wear makeup, the way she laughed even when he told shitty jokes, the way his arms seemed to hug around her body just right.
There's so many things he's been wanting to say to her.
But... He went and ruined it, and there was nothing he could do about it.
She can't stand you.
Tom walked around the familiar field, feeling the grass brush against his fingertips.
He stopped abruptly in front of a large oak tree.
He stared at the swing that was attached to a tree branch.
He remembered (y/n)'s faint giggles when Tom would push her on the familiar swing.
Tom pinched his eyes as a migraine settled in his head.
Tom blinked before seeing (y/n) suddenly appear on the swing.
She was kicking herself on the swing.
Not talking, not blinking, just swinging.
Back and forth, back a forth.
Tom called out (y/n)'s name in confusion, but it fell on deaf ears.
(Y/n)'s milky skin faded to a lighter shade as she stopped swinging.
She stared back at Tom.
Her lips moved as if she was saying something, but nothing came out.
(Y/n)'s eyes started watering.

"You did this," she whispered.

Suddenly she started screaming and crying, Tom covered his ears as the sound was piercing.

"Tom! Tom! Buddy!"
Tom was slapped in the face as Mark shook his shoulders.
Tom woke up immediately as he was woken from his dream state.
He looked around Mark's living room and instantly read the analog clock beside him.

12:00 P.M.

"You alright? You don't look so hot, man.." Mark raised the back of his hand to Tom's forehead.

"She was there again," Tom mutters.

Mark sighed knowingly.
He usually had advice to give to Tom,  but he was speechless this time.
As much as he wanted to help, he knew it wasn't really his place.
But of course, that didn't stop him.
You see, Anne and Mark being the best friends to cry on, formed a plan.
A day ago, Anne had called Mark telling him about (y/n)'s state and how she wasn't handling the entire situation very well.
Mark had noticed when (y/n) ignored him and started acting cold and distant towards other people.
I mean, who could blame her after all?
She spent so much time putting up emotional barriers and the second someone broke through, well...
It left (y/n) humiliated and lost.
As (y/n) and Tom were long time Hoppus family friends, the siblings knew they had to do something about it.
Mark had called Anne about an hour before, and the plan was set.
Operation G.E.T. T.O.G.E.T.H.E.R
was a go.
