6 | Garrett Knows

     My eyes gently fluttered open as I could see the sun rays flow in through the windows of my apartment. I was about to get up until I felt a pair of arms wrapped around me gently. I looked up and saw Andrew, still asleep. I didn't know when the last time he actually slept was, so I tried my best not to wake him. I smile as I watch him. He looks peaceful this way. I watched him for a couple minutes until eventually he began to stir awake. He opened his eyes and smiled.

     "Good morning, (Y/N)." he murmured, his voice a little husky from his sleep. I chuckle and respond.

     "Morning, Andrew." I smile and sit up from the couch, he follows and I look at the clock. 11:24 AM. "Looks like we slept a while."

     He chuckles and nods. "Yeah, guess we did." He then gets a sudden realization and sits up from the couch. "I still have to get back to editing with Shane. Wanna come? Morgan and Ryland will be there to keep you company, and Garrett likes to hang around too."

     I nod my head in agreement. "Sure, I'd love to. Wanna grab some Starbucks before we go?"

     "I'm down."

     I go and quickly change into something more suitable for going out and brush my hair then grab my phone and wallet before meeting Andrew by the door. I lock the door and he tells me that our car is waiting for us downstairs. The car drops us off at Starbucks for us to grab a bite and to get some coffee for us and the rest of the squad. Once we got our orders, we drove off to Shane's place and thanked our uber driver, we paid him and began our walk up the driveway towards the house. At this time, Ryland was taking the dogs out for a walk, I smiled and greeted him with a hug. He hugged back and smiled.

     "(Y/N)? I didn't expect to see you here." he states, keeping Honey and Uno steady.

     "Neither did I, it was kind of a last minute decision. Oh, we got some Starbucks for you by the way." I smile.

     He gives me an ecstatic look and takes it. "Oh my gosh thank you so much. Shane's just started editing, so there's not much for Andrew to catch up with. And Morgan will be doing a video today, so you can help her out with that for the time being."

     "And Garrett?"

     "He arrived about ten minutes ago. He's playing with Cheeto."

     You chuckle and smile. "Well thanks, I'll see you in a bit then."

     "Bye!"

     And with that you said your goodbyes and continued your walk up to the house. You made it to the door and Andrew opened the door. He entered with you following behind him. "Surprise, squad! We brought Starbucks!" You cheered as you entered the house. Garrett immediately stopped playing with Cheeto and went to get his drink. Morgan followed soon after. I greeted Morgan with a hug and Garrett pulled Andrew into the dining room for a chat. I handed Shane his drink and found Cheeto in the corner. I smiled and began to pet him gently. Andrew and Garrett's hushed conversation caught my eye. Still remembering quite freshly what Garrett had done the previous night. But hey, I'm not complaining.

Garrett

     I expected to see just Andrew to walk in through the door, but (Y/N)? Now that was something I didn't think was gonna happen. The only way that she would be here is if....they spent the night together. I greet (Y/N) and quietly pull Andrew into the dining room.

     "So, I take it the little chat with (Y/N) went well?" I ask, a slight giggle at the end of my voice, because I am here for all the juicy details.

     "The talk went well, actually. Then we played a few games of Uno and that was it." he replied. I study him for a moment.

     "Anything else?"

     "No, that's it really. Why?" he asks.

     I place my arm around his shoulder, he looks at me oddly and I chuckle. "Andrew, I have known you for years, right? And you are happier than you usually are. That's not a problem but, I know for a fact, that it's not random. So, spill."

     He remained silent for a moment before sighing and whispering quietly so no one else would hear. "Well, after we talked we got tired, and it was late...so...we spent the night together."

     I gasp and try to contain myself. "I knew it." I say in a hushed yet excited manner.

     "My plan is succeeding" I thought to myself. I pat Andrew on the back and smile. "You will thank me for that later."

     "Yeah, and you owe me one now." he snickers.

     "Whatever, you enjoyed it anyway."

     He smiles and looks down at the tile on the floor, but you can see him smile a little more and his cheeks flush lightly.

     "Oh yeah, you enjoyed it. And don't even tell me otherwise. It's written all over your damn face." I chuckle.

     "Alright fine, so I did." He caught a glance of (Y/N) who was staring from across the room. I could see that their eyes met and you could practically tell that they were into each other. They couldn't make it more obvious. I took advantage of Andrew's trance to whisper in his ear.

     "You like herrr~" I teased. He playfully swatted me away. I giggle and he rolls his eyes.

     "No, I don't."

     "Yes you do."

     "No I don't, Garrett" he retorts.

     "Denial is the first step when you have a crush."

     "Garrett-" he starts

     "You."

     "Garrett stop-"

     "Like."

     "I swear-"

     "Her."

     He grumbles and I chuckle. "Fine. So maybe I do. What difference does it make? It's not like she likes me too."

     "Why don't you ask?" I say.

     "Oh sure, go up to a girl I've only known for a little over a week and tell her I have a crush on her. I mean, what is this, a fucking fanfiction? Not happening." he leans against the wall gently.

     "Fine, fine, just give it some time, then tell her." Knowing myself who doesn't get the opportunity to court someone, he better take this chance while he still has it. He deserves it.

     "But Garrett-"

     "Pleaasseeee?" I beg him.

     He sighs and finally gives in. "Fine, but only because you're my best friend." I smile and spot Morgan across the room. I give her an affirmative nod and she smiles before going over to talk to (Y/N). Step one half is complete for our plan.
