It had been four months since the accident and since I came back to LA. After Shane's proposal to Ryland everything had been going crazy for them. The wedding was about a week away and preparations were still being done. Ryland insisted that Morgan and I be his bridesmaids and Shane was torn as to who was going to be his best man between Andrew and Garrett so he just picked both.
But despite everything going crazy for the both of them, they were brought closer together. They had a bond that was inseparable and I hoped that one day I'd have the same with Andrew. I glanced down at the promise ring he had given me and smiled. He had done so much for me ever since he walked into my life. I understood what Shane meant with what he said to Ryland when he proposed.
I was struggling before I came to LA. My parents didn't seem to care when I told them about Damien. They said he was going through some sort of phase and that it would end soon. It never did. I haven't even called my parents, nor have they called me. They were against me moving so far away. I guess you could say I ran away from them too.
However, all of that is in the past. No point dwelling on something or someone who didn't even want to be in your life. Or who was just there to hurt you. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Morgan who was struggling to stay balanced while trying on her dress. I laughed and she looked at me cockily.
"Good to know you're keeping your branding, Morgan" I chuckle.
"Oh, you know me. Keeping up my originality." she snickers. "Now all I have to do is get myself a mans. Seeing as everyone else has one." she pouted.
"Honestly, Morgan I'm surprised you're single." I stated.
"Really?"
"I am! You're a funny person and you're great girlfriend material." I replied. Her face lit up and she blushed. "Believe me, if no one is willing to date you, they're stupid."
"Damn. If things don't work out with Andrew will you date me?" She teased.
"I thought you said you weren't a lesbian." I snickered. She chuckled and nodded.
"True, true. Just an idea. We'll see how it pans out." She winked and I giggled.
"I'll keep that in mind." I smile. After we finished our fitting we decided to head over to Shane's new place. I could definitely see why they picked it. Not because it was much bigger than their old home, it gave off a better vibe (probably cause the cereal-eating ghost wasn't here).
We walked through the courtyard and found Garrett, Ryland, and Shane sitting on the chairs that Shane and Ryland's bedroom overlooked. Garrett let out a giggle and we smiled. "Hello ladies." I greeted.
Garrett smiled brightly and waved. "Hi!! How did the fitting go?"
"Great! But Morgan would say otherwise." I glanced at her as she attempted to get onto the couch by climbing over it, nearly toppling over but being caught by Garrett.
"Oh my god are you okay?" he asked worriedly. Morgan laughed and nodded.
"Thank you, I'm fine." she replied, regaining her balance and sitting next to Garrett. I smiled at the two of them. It was fun to watch the two of them interact. I did notice some occasional subtle flirting between the two, but it wasn't very often or very noticeable.
I glanced around and bit my lip. "Where's Andrew?"
Shane looked up at me. "Oh, he's in the editing room working on some stuff. I'm just out here for a little break before I get back."
