I still felt like crap the next morning, but we were leaving the next night and I didn't want to waste any time, I mean we were in London.
By the time I came out of the shower Brian was sitting on the edge of the bed.
"I'm starving." He announced. "Get me something to eat while I have a shower please Em."
Why sure, I'll do that, I thought, but I ordered something for him anyway and it had arrived by the time he came out.
"Argh thanks Em, this is just what I need." He sat down and started eating. "Are you having anything?"
I sat next to him and picked up a piece of toast. "I still don't feel so good."
"Spend the day resting."
"No, we should do stuff, I want to go out and look at stuff." I sounded whiny.
"Fine, we can do stuff. What do you want to do?" He asked me.
"Surprise me." My phone went off.
I walked over and picked it up, it was from Matt. He wanted to meet downstairs for coffee. I really didn't feel like it, I mean I'd made plans with Brian.
"Matt?" Brian asked.
I nodded. "He wants to meet for coffee."
"Yeah." That was all he said.
"I'll meet him quickly then you and I can spend the day doing the tourist thing okay."
"Okay, sounds good." He smiled at me.
I smiled back and quickly text Matt, letting him know I would meet him downstairs in ten minutes.
I went into the bathroom, I couldn't help myself, I wanted to make sure I looked nice, it was Matt after all.
I walked out of the bathroom and Brian was getting changed, I stopped, he had no shirt on.
"What?" He asked, pulling one over his head.
"Oh nothing, um do I look alright?" Shit, what the hell?
"You look fine, you always do."
"Thanks." I hoped so.
I was feeling a little nervous, I really wasn't sure what Matt wanted, and I was trying my hardest to get over him. I should have told him no, I really should have.
"Right well, I'll meet you back up here soon." I said to Brian, walking to the door.
"Okay, I'll work out what we can do."
I opened the door and turned around. "Shit Brian, wish me luck."
"Ugh Em." He said walking over to me. "Trust me you won't need it." Then he leant down and brushed his lips across mine.
I quickly left and shut the door behind me.
