We soon arrived at Jregon, and just as I predicted, there were guards in the sky.
"Those who have Dark and/or Chaotic dragons, take out those guards. Venom, Sonata, Riptide, Falcon, Skylar, Eclipse, join them. Since you six have the Dark and Chaotic element, you should help them." I said.
The six of them roared.
"Got it!"
Some of the citizens, Dragon Rangers, and the six dragons flew ahead to take out the sky guards. One of the guards' dragons noticed them, and roared to alert the others. The guards soon saw them, and flew towards them. They fought with claws and teeth, but neither side was backing down. The rest of us landed in an abandoned part of the Jregonian town and waited for the signal.
It was taking a little longer than I thought.
Few minutes later, Sonata sent a siren cry in our direction.
"That's our cue. Let's go show Onyx Drake what happens when he messes with Elaria!" I said.
Vincent took to the skies, and dove down towards the castle entrance with the others following. The two guards posted in front of the entrance saw us, and their dragons growled and hissed.
"My group, stick with me!" I said.
Silas and the others nodded and started following me.
"Let's crank up the heat Vincent! Turn into a Volcanic Eruption!" I said.
Vincent nodded and his scales turned fire red, gray, and black in an instant. Then, he breathed fire to burn down the door.
Since Volcanic Eruption dragons can breathe fire up to +15,000°, their fire is hot enough to burn down a forest in the matter of seconds. So burning down this door is like burning down a giant tree.
The door burned down and my group and I flew inside.
"Hey! Get back here!" cried one of the guards.
"Sorry, but you'll have to get through us to get to them!" said a Dragon Ranger.
The guards' dragons roared, and the guards and dragons posted around the castle came in minute's time. This time, Bethany and her Chaotic dragon, Echo, were leading the group. Echo roared, and the other citizens, Dragon Rangers, and the other dragons came from the sky to join the battle on the ground. We heard the fight outside as we walked up to the throne. Inside Jregon Castle, it was black and gray, and the carpet leading to the throne was blood red. There, sitting on the throne, was the Jregon ruler himself. He smiled sinisterly, and laughed.
"Welcome, Dragon Rangers. Welcome to my humble abode," he said.
"Onyx Drake! You have stolen what is rightfully ours! I demand you to give it back!" I shouted.
"Oh, you mean the Dragon Blood power? As if. This power is incredible! You don't know what I've accomplished once I've obtained it. I'm now able to bend the hearts of any dragon to my will. I can also make them work for me... and ONLY me..."
"But that isn't right. The Dragon Blood is to help us grow closer to dragons, not hurt them or force them to join us."
"You have much to learn, little one. But, if you DO want to make a contribution and get your precious Dragon Blood power back, you're going to have to fight for it. Guards, deal with them!"
Drake tapped his scepter on the floor twice, and guards from every side started coming out. Before we knew it, we were surrounded.
"What do we do?" I asked.
"Giselle, get Drake's scepter. We'll hold them off as long as we can," Silas said.
"But... Silas..."
"Trust me..."
His eyes were filled with determination. I smiled and nodded.
"Vincent, up in the air!" I said.
Vincent flew up and went straight to Drake. I then caught a glimpse of a cheesy smile on Drake's face. I gave a confused looked, until something knocked us out the air. We crash landed and looked up at what hit us. We then saw a dragon, peering its head around a pillar. Its body looked like a snake, because it was wrapped around the pillar. Vincent and I got up, and Vincent and the hostile dragon growled and hissed at each other.
"Well done, Ashwing." Drake said.
Ashwing climbed down from the pillar and growled.
Surprisingly, I couldn't understand what he was saying.
"You'll have to get through him to get to me." Drake said.
Ashwing roar was so loud, it shook the castle. Vincent growled and hissed. Then, I got an idea.
"Vincent, think you can buy me some time?" I asked.
Vincent groaned.
"Yes, why?"
"You'll deal with Ashwing, and I'll deal with Drake," I said.
"WHAT!? That's suicide!"
"You wanted to know what type master I'll be... well, now you know. I live my life to the fullest, and I take risks that can kill me... my mother used to say to me, what doesn't kill you, just makes you stronger. I've done so many suicidal risks, and I'm still standing, and I feel stronger. Lend me your strength, Vince... please."
Vincent averted my gaze and sighed. He looked back at me and nodded firmly.
"Thank you..." I said.
I kicked up a sword next to me and glared at Drake. I then started running towards him, not caring about Ashwing. When Ashwing ducked his head down, I stepped up on his head, and jumped over him. Drake's eyes widened as I landed in front of him. Ashwing turned around and growled at me. Then, Drake raised his hand.
"I'll deal with this one, Ashwing. You deal with the other one." Drake said, pointing at Vincent.
Ashwing nodded and turned his attention back to Vincent. They growled and hissed at each other, until they broke out into combat.
"So, you do dare challenge the ruler of Jregon? This will be fun," Drake said.
"If it means dying for my people, then so be it! Not a day will go by with me seeing my people suffer! You will die Onyx Drake!" I cried.
"Well then, come at me! No holding back!"
I made the first move and charged at Drake. I brought down the sword to his head, but Drake calmly blocked it with his scepter. I stepped back and readied my sword again. Drake took off his cloak and revealed his armor. Surprisingly, it wasn't war armor, it was thin battle armor.
Drake has a better chance of surviving. He has armor, and I don't... well, good luck me...
I charged at Drake again and swung my sword, but Drake dodged it. He brought down his scepter near my head, but I quickly jumped out of reach. I used that momentum and swung my sword near Drake's side. It cut the armor's material and black blood started running down his side. Drake winced a little and glared at me. Then, he smiled.
"You have a strong will, and a strong heart. Why don't you join me? I'll make you Jregon's newest general. We need someone like you in these dark times," Drake said.
"Dark times my flank! I would rather die than work for you!" I said.
"Fine... have it your way."
Drake held up his scepter and grabbed the bottom of it. He slid down the bottom, and in its place was a sharp sword. He dropped the scabbard and charged at me. He brought down his blade and it cut my arm. I winced in pain and grabbed my arm. I let go of it, and nothing but blood was on my hand. I turned my attention back to Drake and charged at him. Our swords clashed and clanged as we fought. In the background, I could hear Vincent and Ashwing, and Silas and the others fighting the guards, but Drake and I battled the hardest.
This is a battle I have to win... not just for me, but for all of Elaria... Elaria vs. Jregon... Dragon Blood vs. Dragon Demon... who will win...?
