Cheryl's POV:
"Cheryl. Cheryl, wake up," a soft voice whispered into my ear. The voice was silky and sweet, and sent chills down my spine. This was a voice that I had heard before.
"Toni?" I muttered, my heavy eyelids trying to remain open long enough for me to focus on the figure in front of me.
"No, Cheryl, it's me," the girl spoke again, stroking a piece of hair away from my face.
As my eyes accustomed, I immediately noticed blonde locks framing her face, and accentuating her icy blue eyes.
"P- Polly?" I muttered questioningly.
"Oh, Cheryl, thank goodness, I was getting so worried!" She sighed with relief.
Slowly I sat up, attempting to gage my surroundings. It didn't take me very long to recognize the deep red color scheme of my own bedroom in Thistlehouse. As my senses slowly flooded back to me, confusion shortly followed.
"Polly, where have you been? The entire town has been worried sick!"
"Oh Cheryl, none of that matters now. At least we're here together- isn't that what matters?"
I blinked incredulously at the girl sitting in front of me, her longing eyes gazing back at me.
"How did you get here? More importantly, how did I get here?" I stammered, my memory blank of any event since the night with Toni.
I watched as Polly took a deep breath inwards.
"Cheryl, it was Jason. I saw him waiting for you outside the bus- I tried to get to you, but it was too late, but he bolted once he saw me. I brought you back here as soon as I could."
"Oh."
"But it's okay now- it's all going to be okay."
Slowly I pulled myself upwards to stand, but Polly grabbed my forearm to keep me from doing so.
"Cheryl, where are you going?" Polly asked, shooting me a puzzling expression. She looked me in the eyes, moving slightly closer to me until our faces were nearly touching.
"I- I have to go."
I tried to stand up again, but this time Polly grabbed my forearm harder, slamming me back into the chair. Without a moment's hesitation, she lurched forward, her lips colliding with mine.
"Polly, what are you doing?" I yelled, ripping myself away from her.
"I know you kissed that greaser scumbag Serpent," Polly growled, her soft exterior melting away.
"H- how do you know about that!?" I gasped, fear rushing through my veins.
"Well, well, JJ was right. You ARE just a desperate, cheating whore."
"Polly, what are you talking about!"
"Wow, you are just SO oblivious, aren't you? You just saunter around, going from one life to ruin to the next, huh?" I tried to jump away from her, but she dug her fingernails into my hand, causing me to lurch with pain.
"Polly. Let. Me. Go." I muttered through gritted teeth."
"And now," Polly continued, neglecting me entirely, "Jason has gone insane looking for you. I figured it was a shame I lost him, but at least I had you."
"What are you talking about?"
"I figured "What's the difference, anyway?" Polly rambled, "After all, what's the difference between one rich, redheaded bastard from another?" So, I decided to settle for you, since Jason's MIA and all."
