"Dean, I just don't fully understand. Heaven was restored. There are no more fallen angels." Cas protested.
Dean didn't move his eyes from the road as he replied. "Look, Cas, buddy. I'm sorry, but I don't know. We got some girl telling us that there are angels, it's at least worth a check. Don't you think? Just to make sure."
Cas sighed, defeated. "Alright."
Sam felt relief flood over him, glad that the fight was finally over. "So," he said casually, "What do you think of Adam's freaky exploding hand ability?"
Dean grunted. "I'd say its a load of bullshit if it weren't for how he destroyed the demon last night. Cas?"
Cas shook his head from the backseat. "I don't know, Dean. It's unnatural, even for us. I've never heard of anything like it."
Dean grinned. "Alright, something new. Almost impossible to get that."
Sam rolled his eyes. "I'm curious. What if there are other people with powers like his?"
"D'you think it's related to our dirt-death girl? I mean, that's new too." Dean said. Cas and Sam both shrugged.
"Maybe." Sam muttered, as Cas said, "Possibly."
The car was quiet except for the music, Metallica was playing a bit too loudly. The sun had gone down about an hour ago. Checking the time, Sam had curled up in his seat and closed his eyes. Cas was staring vacantly out the window, so Dean focused on driving and humming along to the music. Every once and a while they would speed by a sign, slowly telling him that they were approaching their destination. He had just turned into the city when Sam gave a startled snort and woke up. Dean chuckled slightly as Sam looked around with a bemused expression.
"We there?"
Dean nodded. "Girl said they were attacked on Terrence Street. That," he turned onto the street, "is right here. Looks terrifying."
Sam hit his shoulder lightly and Cas chuckled. Dean slowly stopped the car, and they all jumped out and looked around.
"I'm not seeing much. No bodies, no blood, not even signs that there was some kind of fight." Dean muttered. Sam frowned.
"Hold on, Dean. Didn't this girl say they were attacked by the angels?"
Dean nodded.
"And they were still alive?"
Dean's eyes widened.
"They fought back," Cas whispered, "and won."
In the same fluid motion, Dean and Sam both pulled guns from their jackets. Cas slid an angel knife out of his sleeve, and the three stood in a wary circle.
"Dean, do you think we were lured? Why is nobody here? Where did they say to meet you?" Sam asked quietly.
"They said they would meet me here," Dean grunted.
"I think they did," Cas murmured. Dean and Sam spun around.
At the end of the road stood two teenagers in identical orange shirts. One of them was a girl, with long blond hair pulled back into a ponytail and a white sword hanging at her hip. The other was a taller boy, with black, messy hair and a pen gripped tightly in his hand. Sam lowered his gun slightly.
"They're kids."
The boy waved his hand. "Um, hi. Would you happen to be the Winchesters?"
Dean glared at the two. "Who's asking?"
The boy gestured at the girl. "This is Annabeth, and I'm Percy."
Dean flicked his gun. "This some kind of sick joke?"
