Peter has been talking to his soul mate since his parents died.
Wade had been talking to his soul mate since his parent were murdered in front of him.
These two boys had gone through hell and come out the other side with nothing to show for it bu...
I had been talking to my friend for a few weeks now and we were extremely close.
"I'm good! What about you?"
I heard the bubbly kid respond.
I was sitting in my den that I built a while back with a few friends when I saw two kids walking past. They were walking down the street towards Queens. They were talking in massively loud voices. The skinny one was saying to the other about a cool lego set that he had got for his birthday. His voice sounded so familiar but I couldn't place it.
"I'm fine thanks, what are you up to today?"
There was a long pause.
"Sorry, my friend just asked me a question. I'm going to my house with a friend to build a lego set that I got for my birthday. What about you?"
So, that boy who was walking down the street was him.
"Hey, PP? Are you walking towards Queens?..."
"...yes..."
"Oh my god! I think I just saw you! Turn round, and come back down the street that you are on."
I saw the boy wearing a red and blue hoodie, who I now know to be my PP, run back down he street towards me. There was a massive smile plastered to his face.
I stood up, started shouting and rapidly waving my hands around in the air. For a minute he stood there looking confused, until his eyes landed on the window of an old abandoned warehouse. He ran towards the building and shouted,
"Pool?"
"Yeah, it's me PP! It's nice to see you in person! I'll come round and open the door so that you can come up!.... unless you want to go and hang out with your friend. That's fine too....."
"No, I'll come up just let me tell Ned that we can meet up another day to build my lego set. I'll be right back."
He ran back down the road while I walked to the door and opened it.
It will be nice to actually get to know him, he's my best friend. ------ Peter POV
I talked to Wade for hours. We sat on the roof of the abandoned warehouse watching the sun go down together. We just talked and took in the view. It was nice to have a friend who I can just be honest with who won't judge me for my problems. It's nice to know that someone is always there for me, waiting in my head to talk to me about anything and everything.
These thoughts were running through my head as I walked back home to May and Bens flat. I suppose it's my home now too.
When I got to the door, I fished the house keys out of my pocket and walked through the doors. When I walked into the living room, I saw Aunt May and Uncle Ben sitting on the sofa. Uncle Ben was hugging Aunt May as she cried into his chest. The sound of footsteps pulled them out of their sadness as their heads snapped round in my direction.
May ran across the room and hugged me. She hung onto me like her life depended on it as Ben stood up and joined in the group hug.
"What's wrong? What happened? Who's hurt?" I asked my last living relatives, my face full of confusion and terror.
Aunt May looked towards me, tears still pouring down her face in torrents,
"Where were you Peter? We called Ned so many times! We thought you had run away, gone missing or even been kidnapped! We were distraught!"
"Sorry May, I just went to meet up with a friend."
"Who?"
"You don't know him."
"Why?"
"He's not from school and I didn't know him when.... you know."
"Oh, ok. When did you meet him then?"
"A few weeks ago, the night after the funeral."
"But you were in bed?..."
"Never mind May, it's not important anyway."
Suddenly, Uncle Ben smiled,
"So, when do we get to meet him then?"
"Erm, I don't know."
"Why don't you invite him over for dinner on Friday?"
"Erm, I'll ask him later!"
"Just remember, next time you go to see a friend after school, call us."
"Ok, bye!" I shouted as I ran to my room.
I kicked my shoes off and dropped my bag on the floor. I pulled out my homework and began to do my maths homework. I'm really clever so I'm doing 6th grade homework although I'm only 10.
I was just having fun doing my homework when....
"Hey."
"Yay, Pool! How are you?!"
"Fine? You sound exited to hear from me."
I could hear the smirk in his disembodied voice, causing me to roll my eyes, although I was secretly smiling. He just makes me feel so happy, he's kind of like he sun in the sky to me, essential.
"Well, maybe I am but I have reason to be exited."
"What is it."
"Do ya wanna come over for dinner at my house on Friday? My Uncle says you can if you want. But, you don't have to if you don't want to. It's just an idea. If you have other plans that's ok too-"
"Hey, its fine! That sounds cool! It'll be a nice change to actually have a reason to leave the orphanage."
"Yayyyyyyyy! I can't wait! Do you wanna meet me at the warehouse on Friday then? Oh my god, that could be our place!!!!!"
"Yeah!!! Let's do that! I can't wait! What you up to now? Anything fun?"
"Yea, homework. Why?"
"Oh I was just asking because I'm really bored, WAIT, WHAT?! Did you just call homework fun?!"
"Yes?...."
"You're a weirdo."
"No I'm not, I just enjoy learning it's really fun! I love science the most. When I'm older, I want to work at Stark Industries. I want to be a scientist like my Dad. I've read through all of Dr Banner's papers on gamma radiation and Mr Stark's papers on J.A.R.V.I.S, that's his AI! It's all so fascinating! However, I did correct some of their equations and calculations, but apart from that, they are both geniuses! Any way, I've finished my homework now so I'd better go to bed. Night Pool!"
"Night Pete." ------- Wade POV
After he stopped talking I was struck by just how smart my little Pete is. He's an absolute genius! One day I bet he'll grow up to be even smarter than Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. ------ Hi guys! I hope you like this chapter. I apologise if my thing about what grade he's in is incorrect but I'm English and tried to find that out from the internet. If you are a fellow British person and don't know what the grades are, I'll put the weird grade chart thing that I found at the bottom. Ok, thanks for reading!
